New Guitar Day ! Received today, this gorgeous Gibson SG Standard HP 2018 in Blood Orange Fade. Incredibly, although I started guitar in 1982, this is my first Gibson... Being a huge Blue Öyster Cult & Donald "Buck Dharma" Roeser fan, I associate this guitar model with him, so I had to cover one of his solos, which I used to play in my younger years : "Astronomy", from the "Some enchanted evening" live album. I don't have the finger speed of my younger years so it was a challenge, but a fun one.
The preset is from my Axe-Fx III "Euro Fish & Shiv" Amp Pack, with small tweaks

Great cover ! I'm currently working on the live version of veteran of the psychic war (the ET live). Would you say this one is easier ? It feels about as tough ahahaha

hi is it hard to bend the notes after the 12th fret with these 24 frets ?

@@thibderobAKAfremen because i don't understand i have a Gibson sg with 22 frets and 10-46 : ok it's not 9_42 but we can bend some notes easily especially at the 12th fret i have an ESP viper, same scale, gauge strings it's harder to bend the notes it needs more effort so, i don't like that maybe the viper model is not so fantastic for that +big frets so, i may buy a Gibson sg hp if it's better for that

@@phenixreturns I play every guitar with 9-42, even with 24.75 scale. You'll notice that a guitar with a floyd rose is easier to bend, so string one with 9-42 on a floyd rose and you'll be in business :)
