This is where I think a mission to Mars will fail in the early stages, anything that takes longer than a couple of weeks to get there will run into trouble. Also if they get there they'll find out how tenuous their hold on reality really is. From my humble studies of evolution one idea that keeps coming is that nature "designed" our brains for some fascinating processes but leaving the Earth and going into space was not one of them. Natural selection didn't really choose for or against something like that. Because obviously we evolved to survive on this planet not in space. Our brains evolved to recognize certain movements and sounds and colors and processing information in order to react to certain situations.... all of which are going to be different in space where our brains haven't been finely-tuned to that environment yet. So we could become our own worst enemies we start seeing things that we would try to make sense of in space as if we were on Earth behaving in a certain way looking a certain way sounding a certain way but with a brain tuned over millions of years on Earth. We are pattern-seeking animals and so what also extend to the rest of the universe. Luckily we have cameras in many cases in which to help us identify what's really happening to better understand it

You are correct. It goes with any species at some point. How did you know some of the information in your comment? Did you just take a reasonable guess?

Nah keep researching.. quantam mechanics and physics. Everything has to be in sync. Everything is linked and intertwined so there's nothing stopping us progressing unto space. Like anything the first time there would be complete change to the environment and on this level its atmospheric, then of course theres risks, doesnt mean we wont adapt! The earth has been around for billions of years and we are but a blip in 'time'. Oxygen, carbon dioxide, hydrogen, neutrinos have been changing our planet since the age of our cosmos. How do you think Antarctica froze? If you have 1 weak and 1 strong of the same specie, the world, planets, universe will balance and breathe as one and allow the weaker specie to adapt to the change, ie eat off the ground if the stronger specie lives in trees and dominates over the weaker one. And of course it's not always the same as some species are just meant to be wiped out like a flaw in the creation

The brain developed through time for our survival...it is a reducing mechanism which allows us the parts of reality that will grant us the fitness to have maximum survival chances...the more fit that you are means you have maximized what parts of reality (which is a small portion of reality) have been made available to you.... The contradiction is that the more fit you are the less you are in touch with the greater reality......See “ Aldous Huxley’s “. Mind at Large for details.

It's fear in the raw form, in space you lose orientation and the tether to reality that Mother Earth provides. I once dreamed of it, it is like falling without ever hitting the ground. The closest terror you might have dirt side is drowning. You struggle and struggle and the fear of death finally crawls inside your head. It's a helpless feeling and space is perhaps a hundred times worse. No one to scream for because they would hear you. There is no air in space, just quiet and death is only a few inches away just outside your space suit.

I think that if you take a Human being, no matter who, how self assured, intelligent, into space and where they for the very first time, they realise that the Earth, a little planet is their ONLY home (at the moment), the mind wakes from the pre-programmed dream that we are all installed with as kids and adults. And it's such a shock to the brain and grasp on reality that it would change the way you perceive the World and life on Earth forever.

What they are seeing are chrome spheres. The size is between a basketball and a soccer ball. These craft will change colors but you mostly see them when they're orange. There was one found way back in the 60s or 70s by a young boy who took it home and thats when they started seeing it move on its own and it vibrated. Eventually the sphere just vanished. The boy said that it just took off and never came back. There are pics of the boy and the sphere. Most called it a hoax but some of us knew what it was and who is operating it. They can be manned or unmanned. This means that the pilot would have to be very small. As in 10 to 12 inches in height. Again most will not believe this. There ARE beings on this planet that are very small and they're technology is way past our own.

This I believe strongly is, we on Earth have and somewhat standard frequency... I've actually heard of what that frequency's actual measurement.... Meaning, We already know of that measurement. When one leaves our Ozone, this could affect us in these ways. That our foundation of thought might shift or lift and this is why spiritual Identity is questioned... Profound questions. This would also explain why the scientists lower the value of the mission because upon such foundations, they are quite aware that the "Mission" is truly not in tune with what is obviously more important and or the celestial harmony.

Depends on how much "imagination" and how emotional they are! Fighter pilots and astronauts are chosen for logical, critical thinking ability with too much imagination being undesirable. But assessing these things in a person is not an exact science so some astronauts like Armstrong for example get overwhelmed and are never the same! I think i would too. Ime not a particularly emotional person but ime damn sure if i had the chance to see the earth from orbit, away from the cradle that gave us birth it would be a very intense experience:)
