@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV Strewth.... It's way more expensive. My FT03 draws 5.2 Amps on turbo. The S version would roast on this setting! I'll keep this torch for now. Love it!

I'd totally forgotten about that lol. The FT03 shocked me with its brightness, makes me wonder if it would throw further with a 2200 lumen XHP35.

Philip Christian meant for power output. The 26650 gives longer run but lower output than a 18650 or 22700.
Does this flashlight work as power bank? I'm interested to buy it, but it has to be able to charge my smartphone, which its battery doesn't last 1 day.

This light on turbo step down after how much time?
HELP! So I bought this exact same ft03 ssbt40 from banggood about 6 months ago. And seems to act up every once in a while. Won’t turn on sometimes unless I take the battery out and reinsert it or won’t charge the battery. Now it seems to get hotter faster than it used to when in turbo or at least I think it does....Makes a slight rattle noise if I shake it which seems to come from the white plastic spacer/washer that’s between the spanner nut and the driver/charging assembly that it secures to the bottom of the flashlight head. Tried tightening it but won’t go any further. I can rotate that white spacer/washer with my finger...IS ANYONE ELSE HAVING THESE KIND OF ISSUES WITH THEIR FT03 SSBT40???? I don’t even really use it that much as I have 40 plus flashlights that I rotate in use. Just ordered the xhp50.2 6500K (not tint picky and that’s all they had left anyway) version (green with the chrome lens ring 😁) and hopefully won’t encounter these issues with it. Mk the V6 actually throws farther than the FT03 SSBT40, I have both. V6 is pretty badass stuff but it’s a neutral tint if that doesn’t bother. Huge spill too. Love it.
I think you have given wrong details on description as FT03 is rated at 190000 cd or 800+ meter is this ft03 or the ft 03 mini??
Why are the specs in the description for the FT03 Mini? Also, BGff2020 doesn't work. It just says it's for a special collection.

Apparently battery makers never cared much for the 26650 size, so we never got a good one.

What budget 26650 batteries are safe to use in the sst40 ft03? Some forums say high drain batteries can damage the emitter, it may have been an older version of sst40 that has this weakness? I'm not up to date with all the information on these forums.

I'd never run a budget battery. Try a large capacity 26650 like Shockli 5500mAh that doesn't run too hard.

@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV budget 26650 battery for me is 10-18$ pr battery. I use samsung 40t 4000mah inr21700 35A in my EC01, and sony murata 3150mah 18650 30A in my astrolux s43s. I also have a lg inr18650hg2 20A 3000mah as backup. But I still haven't bought anything specifically for sst40 ft03 I ordered. I bought the other batteries from ebay seller in france, that seller had no 26650 batteries. eBay seller was ediition89x.

Has anyone confirmed a shockli 26650 5500 can actually fit? It's 26.7mm wide and that's about as wide as the inside tube of the light.

It does make a difference, Ultrafire batteries will really struggle in a light like this.

Battery 18650 awt 3000 40A , turbo mode about 35Min and battery is dead , i did put another battery awt it give me about 10Min more, so u can say 40Min continues. Keep in mind ,heat will bother u ,need gloves 🧤

Honestly, I was mystified by the short tempers over on the Budget Light Forum. The light was selling for less than $30.00. So folks had to wait an extra two or three weeks. Big deal. This was the best flshlight deal I've ever seen and people were so impatient that they couldn't hold out for another 20 days? My FT03 was delivered to me in Canada this morning. It's fantastic. Best flashlight bargain ever. Yeah...it shipped on March 30 instead of March 9. In the big picture, the value of this super light was worth waiting for a short period of time.

I always find cool white a bit brighter in tests but neutral white beams tend not to glare on the atmosphere so can look brighter.
