Astrology and Reincarnation with Astrologer Rick Levine

In this Cosmic Connection episode of the Astrology Hub Podcast, Astrologer Rick Merlin Levine and Amanda ‘Pua’ Walsh discuss Astrology and Reincarnation.
When you tune in, you will learn about the meaning of the word “reincarnation,” and why you can’t have reincarnation (birth) without first having ’dis-incarnation’ (death). We also dive into hard questions like, “What are past lives?” “Do past lives exist? And how do they fit into the study of Astrology?” Learn about why you must understand Saturn and Pluto before you can understand reincarnation from an astrological perspective. We also explore the meaning of time, is it linear or is every moment, past, present, and future occurring at once?
On this episode, you'll learn...
🌔 About the word death and the more appropriate label of “dis-incarnation.”
🌓 What the meaning of Saturn’s glyph is and Saturn’s role in the process of reincarnation.
🌒 Pluto’s facilitation of the “Phoenix rising from the ashes.”
🌑 Our understanding of linear time and how it limits our perception.

You just need to read a lot & widely like Rick has, it takes some time & effort of course, but pick up some book on astrology or whatever interests you & dive into it. I find that once you get started, it flows naturally & at some point you will be synthesizing it all in a way that makes sense to you. Keep going & have fun!

I love that planets talk to each other and vibrate like chanting monks. Yes I believe too that when our brain dies it can still broadcast to those special enough to hear our individual frequency. The most beautiful and thought provoking poem I have ever heard. Rick's north node sun venus mars and mercury in aries ...have come out to play and shock us into thinking differently....he gives this freely to the collective. He talks about Saturn and Pluto and shares a near death experience With us so we can understand that Pluto is nothing to be afraid of because it is just the ultimate transformation of our physical bodies. That is so beautifully said. ❤ and light to the collective. Thank you for your insights Rick. 😇

Funny that Rick mentions (at about 31:20) the psychologist James Hillman (Hillman was a gifted student of Jung who in turn was a gifted student of Freud), Hillman's son Laurence is also a very good astrologer in his own right. Laurence is currently working with the son of Sir Laurence Olivier, Richard to popularize a form of astrology that can be used in the work/corporate world that basically never mentions astrology (alas, plenty of corporate types currently do not think highly of astrology) but uses the archetypes of astrology & asks the kind of questions of people that essentially reveals the dominant characteristics of their charts, see Archetypes At Work & also Laurence's book Planets In Play that uses theater metaphors to understand astrological charts. Oh and if Liz Greene were writing her amazing book on Saturn today, I bet she would call Saturn & Pluto 'frenemies' ;-)

  • @RickLevine

I found this video particularly interesting because I have been thinking about reincarnation for some time now and because I had a past life reading in the 70s. The person who guided that reading said that the life I remembered would be particularly relevant to my present life. As we began, I had quick pictures of other lives, but settled on one in which I was a blacksmith in Pennsylvania in the 1700s. I was a bachelor, dying, bedridden with gout, in my cabin, several miles from town, waiting for a woman from the town to come to cook for me and change my bandages. As I waited, I looked out the window into my orchard, blossoming in Spring, The images still resonate with me and the funny thing is that my friends now think that the word "monastic" fits me and I have planted a food forest in my very small urban back yard. (NOTE: This was the first of 3 different comments I wrote, each of which disappeared, and then this (the first one) reappeared.

Great talk, thank you! My pick of it: Our patterns, self-created and inherited from our ancestors - repeated again and again, form energetic shapes that only begin to change, when we begin to see what we are doing, and finally stop in the middle of the automatic flow or force of it. Bit by bit these patterns are then replaced by what we really are - Meaning!

This is only possible when we come from a deeper place in it than the patterns are!

Talk about synchronicity! I have been reading so much about Everett Ruess this week that for a moment I wondered if I was Everett reincarnated! So I looked up his chart. Turns out, we have similar resonances in our charts including a venus in Aries, which explains so much. I love the idea of my energy in 1975-2020 and beyond is expressing something similar to his energy in 1914-1934 (the soul coming through the meat). All of these moments happen at once but in order for the go to enjoy it, we assign time to it. Rick is one of my favorite astrological story tellers ever. Great poem! Thank you both so much for doing this weekly. It’s a true treat and one of the markers of creativity to come out of this pandemic.

I saw my comment from two years ago, once I finished writing this. It’s amazing how all the things that have happened between then and now can change the way we hear and process things. I don’t agree with sliding toward the edge as we age, that’s almost too easy. It’s a kind of programming. A kid or a twenty-something could be lacing their shoe, finish, and take a step into the street (or off the edge of the curb) and be gone. Could the point be that we just don’t know where the edge is and regardless of the side of the coin one is on, not to assume one way or another? I love Rick. Hang on most every word he says *and* to say we’re closer to life or death based on where we stand in time, it’s a heaviness that can prevent people from living, especially teenagers, bc what’s the point?! It may be a corner that at some point one may or may not have to consciously reckon with for ones self, but the blanket statement, from one’s elder can crush a soul before it’s even begun to live. We aren’t all made of the same stuff and slamming that on the table feels like the scene from Deer Hunter when the soldier is forced to play Russian Roulette. I write this for myself, as well as in response, bc people are a kind of fragile that I’ve never seen before or maybe didn’t notice…either way, more things to consider when we’re out in the world.

My grandfather was a doctor, a lawyer, and a hypnotist - born in 1921. He accidentally took two people back to former lives through hypnosis. One was my grandma - she began speaking Gaelic in the manner of a small child. He was a little freaked out by it and made sure he didn’t do it anymore.
