I would prefer to be told the truth

I agree. Overall, an astrologer should follow the lead of a client, work at their level of awareness and kindly give truthful information as requested.

Yea in an ideal world we can just dump all of our knowledge onto people all at one time but the reality is people have to be ready for the knowledge and that’s always gradual not immediate…

Absolutely agree. The focus is on the person receiving care, not on ourselves. I follow this maxim as a spiritual care practitioner.

As a nurse, part of our education was on “therapeutic communication” - find a kind and compassionate way to say something

I'd tell clients that there are challenges on the road potentially but believe your capability. Astrology tells 70% of the possibility and you can do the 30%. Things happen but you can try your best to make the result as good as possible. Do your best and accept whatever comes to you. All the experience is to help you know about yourself and get elevated.

We should not underestimate our clients ability to deal with information, even if it's hard to swallow. If someone is paying me to read their chart I feel it's my duty to tell them what I see, warts and all. If I was getting a diagnosis from my doctor I would want him to tell me EVERYTHING and it's no different here. So, no. I disagree with you

The only thing I wouldn’t tell them is their exact or close approximate deathdate and other things similar to that. The real psychics that I’ve seen have all advised on behalf of spirit that you shouldn’t/NotSupposed to tell people that.

There are probably extreme cases when an astrologer has to tread lightly, but in my case, I honestly just need to hear the truth so I stop hoping for the impossible and maybe find some peace. But I agree with the message in general. Kudos to the astrologer.

Weird I've had "do no harm" rolling around in my head for days. Totally agree. If you do feel like you want to tell what you see that could be coming up- be sooo well deep and very well educated, with a LOT of experience. And pick your person. I recently saw something that indicated reproductive things in a person's chart that could have been so easy to think "imminent pregnancy", turns out it was imminent hysterectomy in a 30ish year old woman. "Aim for the board. Not the bullseye"

Sometimes withholding IS more harmful. I need straight up truth, I'll deal with my feelings about that truth. I don't want anyone who knows or sees something to withhold something that they deem "too much" or "harmful "

I would like to know the truth no sugar code information. I read tarot and I always read cards that fall, how the will play out with that information I give them can change everything!

I find this easier said than done and reading what the client can handle, especially a stranger is next to impossible. But more discouraging is dealing with people who have such delusions about themselves, they cannot identify with the reading.

I went to an astrologer once. he stood silent most of the consultation which left me confused since I payed a big price. 2 months later one of my closest friends died. I didn't see it coming, it was a shock, and more so because we had a fight 6 months earlier. I was left confused and deeply shocked.

Disagree. When I go to a doctor, I want to know that I have cancer and the reality of the prognosis. I don't want platitudes, I don't want feel good statements, and I especially don't want omissions of truth. Astrology is the same way. I want the truth. I want to know if I have a difficult chart. I want to know why my circumstances are not changing and why I have to do something 1000 times harder than someone else. I don't want the fake "overcoming BS" that modern astrology peddles. I went traditional and classical precisely because it does not sugar coat crappy placements with feel good lies. If someone doesn't want to hear the truth, they can go to a modern evolutionary astrologer.

I prefer the truth. I have free will. Regardless of what the stars may say, it comes down to the choices I make. Nothing is set in stone.
