I feel like Dreamcatcher is mostly underrated only to the general public in South Korea due to their rock/metal influence in their title tracks, which isn't really popular there. Among their peers in the kpop industry, I think they're fairly respected and well-known, especially among their juniors. Quite a few producers and lyricists has also expressed interest in working with them too. Their domestic popularity has also been increasing this recent years.

No one touches Dreamcatcher when it comes to dancing and choreo. As a matter of fact they're also amazing vocalists. So underrated its a crime.

The Astro boys are soooo talented and underrated... they dance and sing perfectly! Thanks for this reaction because Again has one of the best choreographys on kpop on my opinion. Stan Astro!

Pretty sure Dreamcathcer is underated only because the rock elements in kpop in Korea is unconventional. At the same time they are so good at it that nobody can even come close to being as successful at what they can pull off with it. Even when top tier idol groups mention they saw Dreamcatcher perform and meet (usually due promotions overlapping on music shows) you end up hearing nothing but praise and respect for DC's vocals and performance on stage. It's not that Dreamcatcher is unknown either, ive asked many people from Korea who are into kpop if they know who they are, and all of those people i asked knew. I'm just happy that their album sales are doing so well that their members worries went away.

Thank you for your reaction, especially to Astro. They are kings of synchronisation. You need to watch their dance practice for "Baby" even their jumps are synchronised, they're just insane. The dance practice for "moonwalk" is really cool too and "Knock" was so powerful you can see the camera being shaken ahah Also I suggest you the dance practice for "with you" you could be blown away by Rocky (one of the main dancer, the one who's in the front at 3:05)

Thanks lots lots for giving Astro another chance, and thanks for your honest opinions, i appreciate it lots! May u react to Astro's "Baby", "All Night", "Blue Flame" dance practices, ("Moonwalk" and "With You" dance practices in my opinion is military grade). Their earlier songs "Breathless" dance practice is one of my fave as it is so in sync next to "Again". Oh, and their latest comeback song "After Midnight" dance practice is so uplifting and synchronised as usual...Astro. In fact, Astro are king of synchronicity with great vocals as well. Hey, thank you for reacting to astro again! I'm glad you liked it! They have so much more to offer, the moonwalk dance practice is really cool too (specially since they learned that in a day). Also yes, the objects on the ground are meant to mark the center.

From ASTRO, you should watch their performance on IDOL STAR ATHELTICS CHAMPIONSHIP (It's an aerobics performance, with PIRATES OF CARRIBBEAN music) : it's so energetic. FROMIS 9 shows the traditionnal girly vibe of KPOP, but that's not For DREAMCATCHER, i'm really amazed. I love their MV so think, so prefer these to dance practices, but they are impressive in dance practice too. I think they are really good in all aspects from a kpop group (Rap, vocals, dance, MV ...) ITZY, is really strong in terms of dance. Probably on of the top girl group. I think Lia is just a bit under the level of the other members (But the level of other members, is really high, beyond other idol girls), but her vocals are really great. I think you should absolutely watch the MV which is really interesting and it goes wll with the lyrics

Dreamcatcher's lower popularity has a lot of reasons. The biggest reason is that their concept and style of title tracks isn't terribly popular in South Korea. We know that Dreamcatcher has a diverse discography but that doesn't matter to the casual listeners who have only heard their title tracks. IMO the next biggest reason would be that Dreamcatcher is not from one of the big companies(e.g. SM, YG, JYPE, and HYBE) and so there is less money to promote them. There are some really famous and successful groups from smaller companies(BTS before HYBE went public and Mamamoo are good examples of this) but these are the exception and not the rule. One thing I don't think people consider that often is the era a group debuts in. JiU, SuA, Siyeon, Yoohyeon, and Dami debuted in 2014(their debut anniversary is actually tomorrow!) in Minx into a market swelling with new girl groups and well unfortunately they debuted after Mamamoo became known as the hottest rookie group of that year. 🤦🏿‍♀️ In 2017, Dreamcatcher debuted into a more favorable market...but they debuted in the transitional time between the 3rd and 4th generations for girl groups. I've found that groups that debuted in that era(e.g. Loona, CLC, Weki Meki, WJSN, etc) have had a harder time gaining an audience as tastes were changing in a different direction. There are other reasons but they're much smaller than what I wrote above. I would like to point out that despite what I just said, Dreamcatcher is actually getting more popular. They were invited to perform at the Primavera Sound music festival in Spain next summer and they'll be the first K-Pop act to do so. On October 1st they're launching a line of hand lotions and body sprays with Neo-Gen, a cosmetics company. Just today Gahyeon was doing some promotions by playing some PUBG with Insomnias(she actually won too). SuA has been co-hosting a radio show with Red Velvet's Wendy called Youngstreet for a few months. So they're definitely climbing in popularity.

dreamcatcher \:D/ wind blows is one of my favs. it doesn't hit you the first time you listen to it but grows more addicting with each listen. rock is not popular in korea so that's one reason why they aren't as popular. secondly they are an older group and a lot of the kpop audience are teenagers. I'm guessing over 90% of their fan base are outside korea. it may lot look it since a lot of people who watch choreo just pay attention on how hard it goes or how synchronized it is, but dreamcatcher's choreos add several more layers of complexity beyond the normal. they always mix hard with soft, not only add levels or ripples but do so by incorporating other elements like texturing. when they transition, which is like always, it's done so with other dance elements.

Guess you'll have to dive into some more Dreamcatcher on the channel so you can add some more of their stuff to your playlists. And yeah Dami is great. The mvs are good for stories and lyrics, but they definitely go hardest in the dance practice as they don't have to sing for those.

Finally some Itzy! Was surprised to see itzy in this reaction and it nice. I love their dance performance too. They just fire.

Another Astro! What a gift to their fans. I don't think the movement Moonbin makes is a balance fail; he's got to push off that foot to get into the next position, since his other knee is already on the floor. Rocky on the left has to come forward, and he prepares by leaning forward before his slide, but Moonbin has to move screen left. I'm glad you're paying close enough attention to catch things like that because lots of people miss how intricate they have to be in order to do what they do and make it synch. Their music concept has always been different than the larger, more mainstream groups, and that plays into their choreography, which often emphasizes synch versus hard hits. Thanks for including them in your reviews!

Love bomb is the most addictive song in fromis_9, many people from various music genres like Love bomb song, even from Rock&Metal musicians. And fyi, fromis_9 is one of the girl groups that have the best synchronization. You can see it in the choreography We go, Feel good and Fun. please react to the three choreographies of the song. I'm sure you will love the dance and the song which is also very addictive

Yeah Fromis_9 is not know for complex choreography but they are fun and all their songs hit home. I recommend Feel Good and DKDK.

I feel you about the Love Bomb song it grew on me especially towards the end I started feeling it 🤣 and really good choreography!!! I love relay dances 🤣🤣😍 Dreamcatcher impresses me more and more every time I see them! Their rapper is so fire I agree! They are definitely underrated and I think it's just bc of the rock element but I introduced my friend who listens to only metal and hard rock and he loved them!

ITZY!!!!! You got exactly what the song is about and their choreo is always so technical and the formation changes and their synchronization chefs kiss!!!! They always have a killing move in each choreo like in this one the neck break!! Wannabe, Mafia in the morning, Dalla Dalla and Not Shy are their title tracks that have dance practices. Astro ‘Again’ was a long time ago track but their synchronization is second to none till today. Though I think their songs back then wasn’t as mass as today’s. Pls check it out their ‘Knock’ era as well.

Dreamcatcher songs and choreography are so good but they are still kinda underrated for what they show to us. Update on girls planet 999. Ep 7 eng sub. Theres itzy dance song too. There was a rap song to choose and it was smtm 9 : just this. - VVS. The girls tried but it was more like a cute version of the real thing 😂. I mean they had to write their own rap lyrics and they are not even rappers since ep 6-7 is to write your own lyrics , choreography your own dance.

Dreamcatcher mix rock/metal and pop. Unfortunately, rock is dead in Korea. The famous 'rock' songs in Korea today are so soft...some aint even rock. Eight by IU won for the rock category last year it was ridiculous.
