Astro's Playroom -History of PlayStation (PS1 to PS5)
Astro's Playroom is a 3D platformer in which the player controls Astro Bot using the DualSense controller. Like the previous game, he is able to jump, hover, punch enemies and objects as well as spin attack by charging his punch. The haptic feedback of the controller is used to provide realistic tactile vibrations from actions such as walking on different types of material, walking through rainfall and into wind. The game starts in a hub world called CPU Plaza which is modelled after the inside of the PlayStation 5 console and provides access to four worlds which are each themed after a component of the console: GPU Jungle, Cooling Springs, SSD Speedway and Memory Meadow. The plaza also houses two other areas: Network Speed Run, in which players can compete in unlockable time trials for the fastest time which can be shared to online leaderboards, and PlayStation Labo, which houses all of the collectables a player has collected.

As a PS2 fan, my mouth dropped in awe seeing that they referenced the buzz games with the buzzers... It is a little insulting they didn't have a replica of the original dual analog controller that came before the dualshock 1 though

@@joealbert4720 that is the dual SHOCK. Not the dual ANALOG. Before the dualshock 1 happened. There was a PS1 controller known as the dual analog controller. Its pretty similar to its successor, but it had concave plastic sticks, far larger grips, differently shaped 2 buttons and if you were to press the "ANALOG" button a second time, the light turned green and would simulate the controls of the Flight stick controller.

Some neat smaller references on the sidelines: 5:42 PS2 menu 6:06 Little BigPlanet 6:26 Bot working on controller vibration, possibly a nod to the PS3 Sixaxis controversy 6:56 PS1 "T-Rex" tech demo, Red RC car is the first car from the original Ridge Racer 7:02 PS1 "Manta Ray" tech demo, Spyro, signature black PS1 CDs on the table, PS2 "Ducks" demo
I only got PlayStations up until PS3, even then I waited a few years after launch. But all playstations have been a big part of my gaming childhood. xbox has too, I was there for that too. I sacrificed nintendo nostalgia for it tho, I never had many nintendo products. Well I did have NES tho. I guess I'm glad for that. I can't believe I've gone so long without mario in my life. Nearly every night i have an insane dream of playing some weird dream version GTA: VIce City specifically on PS1. That's a major thought while I'm dreaming it: "Why is this PSone?"

It looks like they didn't include revisions that weren't dramatically different from each other. To most people the 90000 PS2 is just another slim (even though it did away with the power brick). There's only one version of the PSP and Vita there even though the PSP had two major updates and the Vita had a 2000 series.
