I was in a relationship with him for almost two years. It was the perfect relationship I've ever been in. He cared for me like no other, tended to my needs, and was there to always listen to me. He was gentle with my heart and loved me the way I thought love would be. I always thought I'd walk down the aisle to him, but one day, out of the blue, he wanted to end the relationship without even giving me a proper reason. I froze for two weeks. I didn't shed even a single tear (I couldn’t), and I was in shock and couldn't process the breakup at all, but after two weeks passed, I shared about my situation with my friend, and she asked me to listen to this song because it sounded similar, and the moment I listened to it, I broke down. I cried like a baby. That was the first time I cried after our breakup and the first time my family members heard and saw me cry loud, but I didn't care. My heart shattered into a million pieces that night, and I wailed my heart out. I remembered that I would never see him again because we lived in different countries, and there was no way we would cross paths again, so I knew that was the end of our relationship. It's been3 years since we broke up, and I am still single. I am not sure if I'll find anyone who will love me like he did, but that's okay. I've moved on now, but now and then I listen to this and remember how grateful I am for the love i was showered with. :)

Some people think it's a motivational song, but for me it's actually a story about a heart that got hurt many times that reach the point of being numb. When you're numb from a heartbreak, everything feels easier, forgiving, forgetting, letting go. I still pray for his happiness, I hope he'll find a better girl for him and live a better life. I still love him, but it's a different love than before, I don't want him anymore, I don't wanna hurt him anymore, and I don't wanna be hurt by him anymore.

This resonates so much with my current situation. After 5 years of being together, he called it quits. I found out it was because he met someone new and better. Thought it was going to be hard for me to accept that fact. Apparently, knowing that he is happier now makes me happy. I feel freer, learn to love myself better and now I can focus only on myself and what I care about. Remember to never beg for love, but to love yourself first. It is going to be ok, eventually 🥰

Sadly, I read his comment "such a doll🥰" to another girls post. Yeah, I put an end and doesn't want to hope him anymore. He didn't reply my message whole day, but he can flirt on other girls post. I put and end TODAY. I feel free and crying now. But, I know I'll be better than when I hoped him message me first.

This song shows me it's alright to not feel hurt because it ends with someone special to us. We can still move on and be thankful for it, even after parting ways.

that's not really true. Feeling your emotions is mature and healthy. It is 100% healthy to feel sad/emotional after a breakup. You can develop adult attachment to people even if they're crappy to you/the relationship isn't healthy. And you can feel withdrawal etc. from that. On the other hand, I'm not saying you have to feel sad. Maybe that's just how she feels. I'm not trying to shame her for not being sad. But not feeling sad definitely isn't the "mature and healthy" response. Feeling sad/emotional is natural and valid. Being mature and healthy doesn't mean not having natural human emotions. Moreover, I can relate to her wishing it did. Back when I was like 16 (a long time ago) I broke up w/an ex and didn't feel any sadness emotions (because I was on zoloft at the time and I had ssri activation syndrome so I literally couldn't feel sad). It was awful. He was also a shitty person so maybe I just didn't care, but crying and feeling sad can be cleansing sometimes, and when you wish you could feel that sadness but all you feel is numb/nothing it isn't necessarily healthy. It can be awful and feel like your emotions are all stopped up. Sadness can be cleansing. Crying releases endorphins. Not feeling anything might just be the phase she's in but if she wishes she could feel something then it might actually be really awful for her. I think a lot of people would argue that feeling apathetic/numb can in many ways feels worse than sadness and I wholeheartedly agree.

This song I think is like growing apart. that about being grateful feeling after break up. This is so refreshing. She then told me how she felt, and this song basically sums it up. I tried to make one last ditch effort by traveling all the way to her country, and we ended things there. A few weeks later we talked about how we dealt with the breakup and she mentioned how she felt weird that it didn't hurt that much. Meanwhile I felt like i was dying. Mine was also 2.5, and we lived together for 1.5 year day-by-day talking irl. So that was so hard. Wish letting it go is the solution to over come

I had the most earnest, simplest and healthiest break-up with my long term boyfriend a year ago. We went through a lot of hard times, sure, but it was amazing while it lasted. I think of him and I just smile. We grew as better people along the way and I have to give him credit for a lot of things that has changed in my life for the better. His patience rubbed off on me and he let me see myself in the way that I never did before; confident, strong and beautiful. We were broken when we met, but we healed each other and let each other grow. I think he's happy now and I'm so happy for him. I'm alone but I am the happiest I've been in a very long time. I have no regrets as to what happened between us and to us. I'm just grateful for the experience and for having found a friend in him. Joey, this is for you!

It's crazy how much I can relate to this. A few months ago I just broke up with my boyfriend for 3 years. I used to think that I love him so much, but strangely I didn't feel anything when we're actually apart. Peoples look at me with pity in their eyes, they thought that I must be very sad. But honestly I'm really okay. The thing that used to scare me to just think about, turned out to be nothing at all. I realized that actually I never love him as much as I thought I did. But I thank God that we broke up, because it was a toxic relationship and my life turn out to be so much better and happier without him, and I'm perfectly fine.

@@mikeljune9249 Well, I think he'll be better without me. It's not that he's a completely bad person. But he lack the will to work for himself because I used to provide for him. He always made a lot of excuses whenever I encourage him to make a better future for himself. He's 6 years older than me but he's more childish than me. His world revolves around his circles of friend and having fun while I worked hard day and night for the both of us. It's true that I make more money than him, but he should have think about his own future and not only depend on me. Now without me in the picture means that he have to think for himself.

@@fellyciac.h.2366 Dun work too hard for him then just work for urself like the you used to be before your relationship with him. U fell in love with him in that state when he was single. If he change and started to worked hard, you might feel a slight changes coz he will loss a time for u and losing time to each other might be lead to break-up like the one you did. He will not change bcoz he consider his friends and its a selfish decision if you asked him to let go of his friend bcoz u wanted a better future, mostly if u still dun have a child. Just enjoy ur time with him unless there is no more reason stay with him

i can’t wait for the day where i can finally genuinely relate to this song. i broke up with my lover three months ago. our relationship wasn’t toxic, he treated me good, we barely fight, but things happened which caused us both to fall apart. i had to let him go even though i didn’t want to. seeing him again still hurts just as much. i haven’t moved on yet. but i know i can never have him again and i have no choice but to go on with my life without him. i still care so much and thinking about him being happy with somebody else crushes me into pieces. it’s like we’re over but i’m not over him. so i’m gonna hold on to this song till i can finally relate to every word. i long for the day where i’m finally free from the things i should stop feeling.

Agreed! I was in a relationship for 7 years before we broke up. We never had a huge argument before parting ways, and till this day, not a single hatred towards each other. We grew out from our teens into adults together, and had a pretty good relationship throughout. But i guess we just knew when things were just not meant for us. We eventually broke up and wished the best for each other. Bottomline is, a break up doesnt necessarily mean getting out of a toxic relationship, but could also mean understanding each other and wanting the best for yourselves (not in a selfish way though).

This song finally hits everything!It describes our feelings about our relationships with another ones that ran away far from you.But remember they can regret there mistakes that they did to yall's relationship with em.Sometimes its hard finding the right person but being patient is the key while waiting for someone else's hand.
