To anyone new to my channel, WELCOME ABOARD the JohnInTucson express train to pretty much nowhere, but as I hope you can tell from my reaction videos, I'm here to have a good time and it's my hope that you too are enjoying the content that I present to all of you. Many of my viewers across the planet work 9-5 jobs and have a lot of stress in their lives, as we all do, however in my mind it's always nice to come home at the end of the day or even on your break if you get one, to sit back and watch a video (or 20)and relax - just let the stress slip away.
I take full time care of my 87 year old Mother and she lives with me in my home here in the southwestern desert region of Arizona in a city named Tucson, hence my oddball screen name. I'm pretty disabled myself physically after a horrific bout with Prostate cancer, then sudden onset adult Diabetes with an enormous weight gain in a very short time period, almost killed me 3 times in as many years.
I've learned a valuable lesson in only the last few years, and that is to SLOW DOWN and enjoy your life. So often we blame our circumstances for why we are depressed when in fact, we have the power to change all of that (generally speaking) by simply changing our mindset. Be positive in everything that you do, no matter the circumstance - your attitude goes a long way towards the way others interact with you. Make it your mission in life to help someone out in whatever manner possible, on a daily basis. When you shift focus from your own problems, to helping someone else out with their issues, you will find your own troubles fading into background noise very quickly. Helping others creates 'something' that seems to wake up the universe, and you will find people and your life, will become more and more positive and great things will start happening to you - all because of your positive attitude.
Okay, enough lecturing LOL.

My favorite singer! Have everything she has done and seen her a dozen times. She is amazing live.
This may have been the best review ever.you gave this performance your undivided attention and visualized you were in the audience.as far as Linda eder,no one can be compared to her.linda is not only a great performer,she has no ego and is down to earth.
One of my favorites and I seen her live 5 times as well. Never disappointed with her style and amazing voice.

Wow, you are sooo lucky! I would give my left arm to see her, Morissette and Katrina Velarde all LIVE and in concert. My god, wouldn't that be amazing?
My first impression of you, is that your quite humble and a caring person.
She's as good in 2024 as she ever was when that Christmas special was filmed. She takes great care of her voice, so she can sing forever, and doesn't care about fame.

I first came across Linda when I watched her performances as Lucy Harris in Jekyll and Hyde the Musical, a part that her eventual husband, Frank Wildhorn, wrote for her to play. Since she wasn't a singer, he created a character based around her and her personality, how she would react to a situation, that way it would be easier for her to play the part. For someone who wasn't an actress, she did a darn good job at it, and what she lacked in acting skill easily was made up for with her amazing vocals! The song 'Someone Like You' became one of her hits, and was actually, pretty much, a personal song between Linda and Frank.

I have seen Linda in concert 4 times now, and twice in Jekyll and Hyde up in Phoenix - she is an amazing vocalist and I LOVE that she has such a strong fan base supporter her. Thanks for your comment!

Linda Eder was a singing champion in Star Search, where little Banig Roberto from the Philippines was a kid champion. It would be interesting if Linda Eder competed against Anita Whitaker in the same season of Star Search. I wonder who the judges would choose as the grand champion

Linda was the only ever undefeated singer from Star Search. She won in 1988. The whole Original Play on broadway of Jekyle & Hyde was written around her fantastic voice.

@@ulradeja5380 Your probably right. I do not remember her. Had to be after 1988 when Linda won. The first big name from Star search was Sam Harris. He ended up not being the biggest star. But no talent show has produced big time stars like star search did back with Ed McMahon. Later when Arsenio did it not nearly the talent they had from the original. Between spokes models,singers & comedians & a few actors appeared on Star Search. I had a big time crush on Linda back in 1988. I was 28 years old then.

Live she is for me on par with Barbra and certainly no wannabe. Unfortunately, other things than the quality of the voice are often more crucial for the commercial success of a singer
She has more power than Regine. I've been a fan of hers for a while too.

And unfortunately again someone who can not distinguish between the recording quality and the voice as such! There are more qualified eyewitnesses who do not use KZread clips to rate the voice of a singer. Lea Salonga "Miss Saigon" said yesterday "Well, she (Regine) is a freak of nature! the *_closed vowel, meeeeeeee_* at the end of the song here is the hardest. I don't think Linda can reach that note with the same power, duration and intensity as Regine *Music & Me - LIGHT OF A MILLION MORNINGS - Regine Velasquez* kzread.info/dash/bejne/aJyEmctwcqnaaco.html
