Villa have come a long way in the last five years. We have experienced being knocked down but we have stood up and moved forward, It's just part of the evolution of Aston Villa Football club. Yes we were all disappointed to go out, but sometimes you have to hold your hands up and say we were beaten by the better team. As far as Unai Emery is concerned, even in the face of this defeat, he decided to give a group of our youth team some experience in the first team in a European cup semi final, he's still thinking of the future in the face of defeat.........what a manager we have. Loving the Villa and hope we stay in the top 4.........UTV !!!

Got back from Athens Sunday afternoon, best atmosphere I’ve ever been in, singing none stop threw half time when we all knew we was out but Villa fans are a credit to the club, we’ll be back next season weva it’s Champions league or Europa league UTV !!!!

Lovely story about the mutual respect Luke, those are the kind of stories you remember in 10, 20 years. I thoroughly enjoyed all your vids. And can I say how proud I am of our fans and the spirit in which they, we have taken on board the bitter disappointment of the loss but have rightly reflected on the bigger picture and our journey. Well done to everyone 👏

Have to say overall Olympiacos were the better team and deserved to go through. However, what a wonderful journey Uni and the team have taken us on. It has been so nice to see Villa back in Europe and progress to the semi finals, I was fortunate to see Villa win the old European cup in 82, but to see them have a proper run at a European competition has just been wonderful. Barring a complete disaster we should have Champions League next season just can't see Spurs getting anything our of City, but football is a strange game. One thing I would really like to point out Luke is what a wonderful manager we have. At the end of his press conference is final words were to congratulate Olympiacos and wish them luck, what a beautiful gesture. We have just had a great insight into what playing in Europe is all about. Hopefully with players coming back and new additions coming in hopefully we can make a good fist of it next season. UTV.

Fair play to you Luke for being so consistent with your content all season if the players are mentally drained you must be on the floor having to talk about villa all the time. So absolutely fair play to you that you've kept going👏 Villa have been horrendous in 2024 we can't deny that the mistakes we are making are just so frustrating I think the team are done for the season now there's no energy left Liverpool and Palace will wipe the floor with us and basically we're relying on the spurs bottle to recycle itself and seeing us over the line There's no point talking about the Liverpool game we already know what we're gonna see (villa will little possession, struggling to pass the ball, fans getting frustrated and our goal getting peppered) Olympicos knocked us out of Europe and I am very disappointed listen it just wasn't meant to be and we have to accept it but I know we're tired but that's no excuse for the players attitude it's so lazy and let's give up attitudes at the moment there's no passion or effort from any of them. Duran has to play the next 2 games he just adds energy in his chaotic ways.

Glad you had a good journey to Greece, cheers for the videos… was lovely to meet you outside Villa Park after the Wolves game & get a picture with you. I agree Liverpool may be too strong for us.. have a horrid feeling about the Man City - Spurs Game but I’m hoping & praying we make it… be massive for this club to keep 4th & we still go against what all the press/media say… everything is crossed & hope Villa don’t do a Villa … palace on 🔥 so last two games could not be rougher! One thing this season has surely taught us is that squad rotation is important so next season when people complain that 'select player' isn't starting we can go back to this season and show that they shouldn't be playing every single game of the season, especially with Europe.

End of the day we was poor over two legs the score showed that, tbf we was lucky against Lille. However it’s all a learning curve for the players to get to a semi final and still be 4th in the league one win away from champions league is unreal, what ever happens we have another season of European football next season. Remember 80-90% of this team was fighting relegation 18months ago, Emery is just getting started UTV

I would love to think we would get some points but in all honesty Liverpool have a great record at villa park Palace away is always a very tough game and they are playing very well. We aren't on form combination of fatigue and injuries would be heart breaking to not get it now we have been up there for so long. We just need to edge it now one last push to make sure we are secure. Whatever happens we have had a great season i'm so proud and we can get better which is so encouraging for the future. It's a tricky one. I don't want Spurs to get a result against City, so we get CL. But at the same time, I'm tired of City winning the league. But i also don't want Arsenal to win the league because Emery doesn't like them 😂😂😂😂. I guess City winning the league is the lesser of those evils and at least Jack will be one trophy closer to his Villa return.

Very difficult to break down teams who just sit in .. Liverpool will play and be more open , so hopefully we can get something .. Play Chambers in the Kamara position .He was player of the year for Fulham in that position .. That would also aid us defensively ( wont happen) >>> .. How we’ve missed Tyrone , look at the stats , with him without him ..

Konza and Bailey just won't cross the ball. So many opportunities to put the ball in the box....... Cash was a breath of fresh air on the wing but seemed to be doing all the work. Diaby has been quiet for 6months. I'd love to see Duran, Tim, kellyman all get a start against Liverpool

What a hell of a season, I'm ready for it to be over though much like I'm sure the lads are 😂 First time in Europe in 13 years, first time there for most players, huge amount of injuries, and we got to the SEMIFINAL... remember West Ham didn't win a European trophy after one year there, and Arsenal didn't win Europa League in Emery's first season (nor did they get 4th!!!), and we're still building. We've had so much thrown against us this year... I disagree that we get no more wins this year, Emery's record in London is amazing and we'll have players back so I can possibly see us winning against Palace, but I agree very tall order to beat Liverpool. Burnley or City do the job though and we might not have to 🤣 Whatever happens it's been amazing, after all the adversity we faced this season we got stupidly far, and we KNOW that we're gonna get better next year! The trophies start nex season... UTV!!

Liverpool to win on Monday night, Villa look absolutely knackered and are staggering to the finish line, Olympiacos beat us fair and square over the 2 legs, Lile was better than us over the 2 legs it has to be said BUT we managed to beat them on penalties, I can see Spurs beating Burnley and Sheffield United and it would not suprise me at all if they get a point at the Etihad on Tues, I hope I'm wrong, I hope we sign at least 4 new players in the summer our squad has been paper thin and I hope we can loose our soft under belly we have & toughen up in that respect.

Liverpool will destroy us with counter attacking football we look vulnerable every time we lose possession. Against the Greeks we were done with a diagonal ball over the top for the first and a long punt over the top from their keeper shocking defending !! I have to say I was all in for Diaby in the summer thinking we have a real gem on our hands, but watching him this season he is not instilling me that for £50 million we have had our return on a player who we all hoped for better. He’s been awful, people say but Bailey came good you could see there’s a player there and he was troubled by injuries. Diaby however has been shocking spent last night chasing his own first touch, hopefully he improves

Apparently we are in touch to sign Ianacho from Leicester he would be such a good link up for Watkins because over the last 5 weeks we have looked toothless

The players have nearly 4 days to rest , can’t keep saying they are tired ,, I think we have a better chance of beating Liverpool at home than Palace away they are in great form !! Just go for it against Liverpool if can’t be motivated for that game whats the point

It doesn't help much when villa play matches when the European matches and the french didn't play the greeks doesn't play know wonder the greeks was more fresher why

@@UTVPODCAST a draw against Chelsea at home, 2 losses against Olymp and a loss to Brighton. I bet we also loose to Liverpool at home tommorow aswell. Our team is no where good enough for Champions League let alone the conference league that we were tipped to apparently win. We are not a top 4 team and this just happens to be the first time we have top 4 in years. We will need to get rid of dead weight in summer and bring in fresh players as if we do not then I do not see us getting past group stages

@@UTVPODCAST its not a matter of who deserves it more. We are not good enough to be a top 4 team going in to next season as it is at the moment, yes we have good players but so do all the other teams in the top 4 spots in Europe. As much as I love Villa we need to keep our heads and realise that we are only new to finishing in the top 10 let alone top 4. We were extremely lucky to even get European football last season. Overall seeing as we will have Mings and Buendia fit soon it will be like having 2 new signings and will boost the team significantly. I think if we can sell Olson and make Guichi backup gk. Dendonker, Chambers, Hause, Duran and maybe Digne due to wages then bring in some new players and we will definitely be contenders for top 5 and even round of 16. I do think seeing as we have finished top 4 and have champions league football next season I hope that we draw some eyes to the club from big players as any player would want champions league football!

Sorry I can’t see us doing it for ourselves we are down and out … we lose our last two with no hope … appreciate the pod and the shorts @lukerobinson UTV

I shouted out Munroe on the video after the game. Nothing glitzy but looks solid. Put himself about and was 2 of the 20 legs We'd been missing. Liverpool an absolutely task for us now. Back 5, don't get spanked and have a week off before Crystal Palace where it is possible We'll need 3 points. I don't have us winning One either though. If Spurs did lose to Burnley, kids should play at Liverpool the next day and have a fresh team to finish on a high vs Palace. Then...Treatment table emptied, transfer window smashed please, hopefully for CL next season.

It's got to the point where I don't care anymore. We aren't winning again this season the legs have gone We just need to hope spurs lose 1 game because we aren't going to do it ourselves

I slightly disagree with Justin. Yes they were happy to let us have possession but that should not have been a surprise. Our Nemesis all season has been a lack of a killer instinct and far too slow build up has dogged us since the start of the year especially. Add a certain lack of intensity and poor off the ball movement all adds up to cancelling ourselves out. I get the reasons its a lot of tired minds, legs, injuries, the highs and lows of holding on to that 4th spot. No matter still proud of the lads UTV 👏

The slow build up was a season long, energy conserving strategy to get our tiny squad this far. It can look questionable in an individual game, but over the season it makes sense. Look at Spurs and Newcastle....they play 100 miles an hour, end to end football and both teams have struggled. We've been slow and steady, and only just run out of steam now. Emery is a football genius in my opinion. And I actually think he started the season wanting to be a faster team, but maybe the early injuries to Mings and Buendia made him slow it down. You only have to look at Diaby's game involvement to see when the change from fast to slow happened. He was our main man and now he's lost in the slow build up.

But playing it sideways and back is not possession football that will ever get you anywhere. I also agreed that this was never Emery's intent, he is forever urging them to pass forward from the sidelines, encouraging them to think, be brave. But as you say, injuries, smaller squad, learning a whole new way of playing has taken a toll. But what a brilliant season they and Emery have given us, we can't lose sight of that.

What a wasted opportunity and we're brushing it off like nothing..unbelievable... this is the reason why we won't win a thing
