Mings didn't put a foot wrong what a signing he is. That wasn't the game for jedi he's too slow now. Kodjia should be dropped for green to develop. Hourihane has become a wimp since Bruce left he used to get stuck in when he was there. Hutton was excellent as well. Whelan deserves credit for driving us on and making us not give up. Once again though shit officials have cost us

Hutton- Excellent. What game were you watching? Time and time again his positional sense and marking are woeful. Both fullbacks can't defend for toffee. Watch their goals back and tell me either of them are good defenders!!!

Hutton was very poor once again. Whelan took the game by the scruff of the neck and his ability allowed McGinn to push forward which transformed our midfield. Kodjia is a much better impact sub and Green needs to start now he’s fit. Once Grealish, Chester & Tuanzebe are back, we will have a great chance at a big win streak to get top 6. UTV!

So where's all the Whelan haters now? Calling for Jedinak to take his place, when Whelan was subbed on we were making passes, playing quicker, scoring goals. Hourihane needs to be dropped for Carroll. Watching him for 80 minutes constantly slowing the ball down, being out of position, hesitating whenever he was on the ball and couldn't even make a long pass as 2-3 of them went out of play, and also the fact that he's incredibly 1 footed and is easily read by the opposition. Hopefully when Grealish is back we can have a midfield of Jack, McGinn and Whelan. This is the most balanced midfield we have and contributes to all areas of the pitch. Buy Kodjia some glasses cause the man kept falling over and leaving the ball behind him, start Green next game as well.

Well done Whelan for his 20 minutes, doesn't change the fact that he cannot play a full match, and you talk about haters...all you ever do is slate Hourihane, 9 assists this season and 5 goals, how many for Whelan? @@antlittlejohns2098 Nearly all his goal contributions were from set pieces. Hourihane at best is a League 1 player. I talk facts about the players, the weak link in this team is Hourihane and his inability to do everything someone in his position should do. Carroll has more chance of creating key passes than hourihane with his 1 foot. I was there and kept supporting the team even when we were 3-0 down and was one of half the fans that remained in the stadium. So don't talk about not crediting the team. Only way to move forward is making changes to help better the team and find out our strongest 11, and Whelan is currently out best DM. Sure he can be replaced but no one at the club can do what he does at this moment in time. You clearly must not see problem hourihane has in midfield. His tracking back and marking is awful, he cannot pass with nearly either foot, he slows the play down too much 9-10 of his shots go over the bar and he gets 1 goal every 20 free kicks and a few assists from them every now and then which isn't hard with the height calibre of our team. Hourihane is a 1 trick pony and his only asset on the pitch is his set piece ability which is easily replaceable. You really must be blind if you can't notice this in-game. Don't get me wrong I like hourihane but he has no future at Villa.

There's barely any changes since Bruce has gone and Dean Smith had no answer the whole game until Green and Whelan came on. We have a premier league standard team and club but we're in mid table and losing points in important games? Someone has to point out the obvious and not be oblivious as to what's happening around them. Well done, Hourihane can score free kicks and get assists from them. But the amount of goals that has been conceded because of him not supporting the defense has cost us key points.

Last 10 games: 2 wins, 6 draws, 2 losses...key ingredient missing Jack Grealish. Sad when people think it's time to ask Smith to step aside, ffs give the guy time, he'll get it right when it's his team and his players. Bruce lost the plot towards the end that's all but got 2 years

@@antlittlejohns2098 Never said it's time for him to step aside, for 80 minutes he had no answer last night and also against multiple teams since he's been in charge. You really think he would've still gotten the job if he wasn't a Villa fan? He had good attacking football at Brentford but where is that showing now? I'm fine with Dean Smith staying but we should've hired a manager with real experience and a past of managing high tier teams. Walsall and Brentford are nowhere near the same calibre as Villa and I'm not noticing any change in the offense with the way that Bruce played. Constant crosses and no direct play. If he doesn't get us in the top 6 or automatic promotion next season then he has to go and we should hire a manager who had managed premier league teams in the past.

I left at the 80th min and Im gutted. Thanks Dad!

I was there with some guys from my work (one of them being a diehard Villa fan), he got us all to leave once it got to 0-3 & we missed one of the best comebacks in Championship history! We ended up in Aston Arms afterwards though, and the scenes were absolutely electric! Pint glasses up in the air and beer everywhere, surprised no one ended up in A&E 😂 what a night, never gonna forget it.

Typical of our club.. We looked dead & buried but somehow we manage to turn it round and take a point. This is defo the season where Dean Smith finds his way as our gaffer.. He has to be given more than a couple of years at the helm because he is the man to get us up. We will get back up under Dean Smith but it will not be this season and the owners need to be as patient as us. Smith is one of our own and I know we will get better after this seasons trials and tribulations. This has been a season of ups and downs and it's exactly how I saw it when Dean Smith was given the job. Our players look so much fitter under Smith also. It's going to take time and the owners and supporters must stay the course now because we cannot afford another change of manager again.. #utv The result last night may just kick start a run of good results for our boys because they never gave up. #vtid

I had thought on the night that defensively Hutton was awful but after watching this I’ve seen that it’s due kodjia having about as good of a defensive work rate as a 300lb man on a treadmill

Sheff Utd deserved that after celebrating like they’d won the league before the final whistle. Terrible game from Villa but even worse from the match officials. No excuse for giving that second goal as it was both offside and a foul. Also the Mings penalty was clear. Let’s hope getting out of jail in this one kicks the team into action. Appalling performance from Villa for 80 mins last night. I’m pleased we got the draw but we should never have been 0-3 down in the first place. Serious questions need to be asked because we are going backwards and our displays have been way below what’s expected, we have lacked skill, commitment, passion and intensity. I hope last night was a turning point but I’m concerned.

Even though they had a dodgy second goal and we should have had a penalty I still think we didn’t deserve a thing from this game. Jedinak was woeful, could be due to match fitness but he couldn’t complete a pass unless it was right in front of him. Hourihane showed how left footed he is. Don’t think he used his right foot once and regularly turned over possession. Taylor looked week on the ball and was struggling going up and down the line. Only good players throughout the game were Mings, Elphick and McGin. The res5 were either bang average or shocking. Anyways I’ll take the 3 points #UTV
