ASTON MARTIN Update - Am I still happy after FOUR years?

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

After four years of owning my 2006 Aston Martin Vantage am I still happy with it? Has it lost its luster? Is it hard to maintain? Is it still special? And most importantly, does it still give me that James Bond rush I was looking for? Come explore with me in this video as we take to the road to explore these questions...and find the answers!

The mantra of living like Bond, one moment at a time emanates from a concept of experiencing the joy of collecting small moments in life that add up to amazing journeys and stories....whether it's through style, locations, literature, fitness, and the movies themselves the world of Bond is explored through its people and their stories.
Ultimately though, The Bond Experience channel is a celebration of the James Bond franchise and the many people that form a true community. Our core mission is to create a strong connection in the Bond community amongst all the fans, regardless of interest or demographic.

Great vid. I'm a firm believer that when we protect things too much, a jacket, a car, pair of shoes any luxury item we 'love' that's when things go wrong. It's like a manager in a company micromanaging their employee... We don't get the best out of it and that's when accidents happen. Not sure if that makes sense. It did in my head anyway

How on earth David keeps coming up with interesting ideas for this channel in the complete absence of a new film to discuss is beyond me. I'm genuinely impressed though, I would have run out of steam a long time ago.

A good car like this will never get old. You will always love it. I've known people who told me about how they regretted selling their special cars 40-50 years earlier. My cousin still missed his Dr. No Sunbean Alpine 40 years later. You know you have something special now, and it will be very difficult if not impossible to ever replace.

I thought this was to be an evaluation of the automobile. But in fact it was a chance to expound on the idea of owning a prop similar to a movie car. I suspect I could simply watch an episode of Top Gear to get a critique of the automobile rather than hearing how the car makes you feel like a movie character. Still waiting for an unbiased opinion on the products featured on the channel

Amazing! This car still looks new. You've used it, and yet it doesn't look like a worn car, outside or inside. And though it's from 2006, 15 years later it still looks more modern than just about any car made today. The experience driving an Aston Martin must be amazing. There's no budget alternative for this one.

I've driven Aston Martins before and I can tell you the roof line is lower than it looks. It's a superb machine that stands out. Don't be surprised at how sharp the handling is and the exterior and interior...no words can do justice for this automotive work of art. Driving it made me feel like James Bond, but owning one was beyond my pay salary. A 1/18 model of DB 9 is good for me on top of my desk. Enjoy! I say if you got one, congratulations!

I have been a fan for a while now, but this episode , for me, is a next level experience..I compliment you on your heightened narrative of self awareness and impeccable timing. The emotional impact you bring to me validates my own "feeling like Bond" experience in my own car. Even though it is not nearly an Aston Martin, I treat it like one, and maintain it like one, and I even let the Bond music flow while in it, so that yes, indeed, every trip to the corner store makes me feel like it's an adventure. You are truly 007 reporting for duty today . Thanks for inspiring me to write my first comment ever.

So basically in the house you are David Zaritsky. A husband and dad and a pharmaceutical executive. The moment you get behind the wheel of your Aston you are a 00 agent sent on a dangerous mission overseas against a ruthless evil organization. The future of the world depends on the success of your mission. You have to draw upon your superb SAS training and your ability to kill if needs be. You have faced certain death many times and won with style and swagger. Your country needs you once again..... I feel exactly the same every time I catch the 7:32 to Croydon....

It was probably the hum of the engine, and the casual explanation of the car and its features, but this video was quite theraputic and relaxing. I can full well imagine sitting in a fashion commensurate with the iconography of the car. We all have our flights of fancy and what better than to be James Bond minus the stress of being chased by Soviet madmen? Win/win. Enjoy your drive, sir.

Great item David! Big car person myself! I love your passion for this car. The dream to any Bond fan isnt it. Must be amazing to own it! In a funny way, even though Im driving a budget budget budget car compared to yours 😂, I felt similar with my car! I can emphathize with that feeling. As you know I am a huge Alfa Romeo crazed guy because of my upbringing, and drive the 2008 Alfa Romeo 159 that the bad guys drive in the opening of Quantum of Solace. Ever since seeing it parked somewhere in 2007 and then in 2008 in a Bond film. That closed the deal for me that that was going to be the Alfa to own when I got the money one day. Now mine is used and not exactly the most expensive. But that special feeling is just great isnt it! If I ever want to drive a DBS I better start doing something else than teaching though 😂

You've got some BEAUTIFUL twisty roads around where you live - they remind me of the ones where I grew up in England. I bet it's SUCH fun to drive that around them, and you don't need to be a boy racer to get a little thrill out of it. Love how you treat it a little more robustly than you used to - I kind of dig Daniel Craig's Bond and his disdain for all the fancy things he owns - like SURE, they're fancy... but they have a job to do, and his possessions don't own him, like so many "boys toys" do. It was always broke and joked never drive it as far as you can push it.....after 3 years 'i got rid of it. My experience with cars like that are to maintence heavy....I did own a 1990 BMW 325 inline 6 I drove to 150k miles but that was it. Now that im old and retired I have a 08 Bullitt Mustang and a Jeep GC between both cars we dont drive maybe 8k a year now. I collect Rolex watches for a hobby.....Most cars drop in value like a rock.....I never lost one cent on a Rolex and now made 80k last year buying and selling them. Rolex is my new form of currency.

DB9 is a dream of mine too, I'm glad you found the compromise and worked out a schedule to use the car in a weekly rotation as it's a car you lusted, skimped and saved to obtain , the next step is using it. As you pointed out, it could have easily just end up being furniture for the garage as a object no different to a piece of art on the wall, or a sculpture in the living room. Highly Treasured, just not used. Edit, I love that jacket BTW, is it a Baracuta Harrington?

The same type of attitude happens with almost everyone who buys a product that was a huge financial decision. If you had a 100 million in the bank, you’d have been pushing this car from day 1. I imagine a C300 Mercedes wouldn’t be a big deal to someone as successful as you but to someone else that could be their baby Aston. The cool thing is that eventually this stage wears off and we can just enjoy things. James Bond didn’t baby his watches and car, although government property 😉, so we should embody a bit of that. People who can’t get over the hesitation phase have likely bought something they really can’t afford to enjoy. You are successful, fit, smart, good looking, and glad to see you enjoying life.

Wasn’t the Casino Royale Aston Martin a DB9? Maybe you should trade that Vantage for a DB9 or a newer DB11.

You ever get tired of treating your prized Aston Martin like a trophy as something to gaze at Mr Zaritsky I'll gladly take it off your hands even second hand, and I can't even drive 😂

You own an Aston Martin. Not an Astsun Martun.I really believe you wish you were British.I'm British, own a silver "Casino Royale" Aston DBS and love OO7.Being an American loving OO7 and owning a non OO7 V8 Vantage must really suck. You car has nothing to do with the OO7 movies or books.Mine does.
