I love the voice acting during the Gur scene! I also love when the Gur hunter is spared earlier in the game, and Astarion greets him with an endearingly awkward, “Oh! - eh . . . Hello again!” and as an aside, “I feel we’re intruding! We-should-leave-quickly!” 😂 It’s one of my favorite Astarion moments. Thanks for another uplifting and fun playthrough! The banter between Neil and Tom always makes me smile. I hope you all have a nice week!

I wholeheartedly agree with your point regarding the romances. I'm ace and I've basically accepted that in any game that has romance options, it's basically a given that sex is going to be a necessity for continuing the romance for the character I like. Although I have found out that Karlach and Wyll's romances do allow you to continue without that aspect, so that's a pleasant surprise for sure

@@coiler_119 Yeah... thank you for understanding. As someone who has played both dating sims and games with romance mechanics on the side, I do think that it's rare for M-rated games to have an option to back out of doing the tango without dropping the romance altogether. I understand that it's the norm for a reason, but I do wish we get to have non-sex options more (without removing the sex options for players that do want it, of course). In Astarion's case, I think it wouldn't be out-of-place considering it's part of his arc to learn that there is more to intimacy than what he was tortured to do. He can still initially rationalize it as him trying to emotionally manipulate you instead since that's also an angle he's trying for aside from sexual.

My headcannon is ulma was performing an Astarion summoning spell and that's why she's not surprised to see him😂

My boyfriend and I had a playthrough where Halsin wanted him and not me even though I had been the one trying to romance him (my boyfriend had got the approval for the last Oliver encounter and we assume it was tied to that but it could have also been a bug).

idk what you expected? Neil has been vocal about being pro Palestine, pro LGBTQ+, pro women’s rights etc. It should be obvious he holds criticism for the party that directly opposes all those things. When Neil says one of the rules of his stream is “don’t be an asshole” I think that goes for anyone who aligns with a political agenda that supports oppressing a group based on their sexual preference/gender/nationality/etc

…I really dont think you ought to take him talking in a weird voice saying what he did, too seriously yah know. Neil is a wonderful human being and if you have been following him for a while, you would know that. If not, go back and watch more content. In the end we Are all humans (like he points out several times in previous videos). ..and they make mistakes. Silly mistakes, and this (i would not Even call it a mistake) was a silly comment given in the heat of the moment, and which you read too much into I think.

History teaches us that being "welcoming to everyone" does not and should not include, for example, n*zis. The current UK government has enacted policies that have directly and indirectly 💀 people from minority groups such as LGBTQ+, disabled people, and the working class. Neil is a delightful human being, but - like the rest of us - not a saint so he's going to say some things you disagree with. However, if you think that 💀ing people because they were not born to money, born gay, or disabled is perfectly acceptable perhaps this is not the place for you?
