Good video! There is this one corner in Monza where I use track safety worker as an braking reference. Thank god the guy never moves:)

The guy just before Ascari? XD Waiting for the day he steps 5 metres closer to the chicane, and screws everyone's race!

The career mode is actually quite cool. Considering how AC basically simulates how real cars drive. The career mode is like a virtual driving school. It would be quite cool if they included a driving course that you could listen to while playing the game. I guess this does it
Considering you are speaking a non native idiom while driving and doing a tutorial you drove absolutely nice! Its a joy to see the dev of the game having so much fun with his own game, this is awesome! Great video Aris, keep up!

@@bradleydcruze according to his Facebook page (facebook.com/aristotelis.vasilakos), he makes cars handle and graphics shine. Also he describes himself as vehicle dynamics simulation at Assetto Corsa, therefore, yes he's one of the game's developers.

KZread finally nailed a great suggestion. Aristotelis already helped me more than once in Assetto Corsa forums and to see a tutorial like this from him... That's great. Luckily more episodes will come.

Great Great great
This is a lot harder than it looks! Thanks so much for the video. I'm having a lot of fun, getting a wee bit better but have a lot more practicing to do! And no worries about your English, it's very good and I had no problems listening at all.
Amazing tutorial! Thank you so much, just what I needed as a beginner in this great simulator. Keep up the good work!
Great video, hope to see a lot more tutorials like this! Especially tips like the one at 36:20 - things like that might seem trivial to some, but I bet a lot of drivers make errors like that all the time (myself included)! And of course, as many already commented, a couple of in-depth setup tutorials would be much appreciated. Also, while on the subject, I think the in-game descriptions of setup options could use a lot of work too, especially for those of us not savvy in car mechanic/setup. But, great work from Kunos, as always - keep up the good work :)
Thank you, Aristotelis! Very informative video! I'll be waiting for the next how-to video.
Really enjoyed your video, and your easy explanations of the set-up changes and replay breakdowns.
Thank you so much, such a little adjustment in my driving made an immense difference
Never driven track, just got myself a starter G29 wheel and needed exactly that. You sir got yourself a follower :) Thanks a lot!
Thank you so much I watched every minute of the video and it helped me a lot, especially the stuff about tire pressure. I never cared about tire pressure and left it at default until now!
A tutto gas, Aris! Sono già in attesa del prossimo. :D
This is as educational as you can get in 40 minutes of a driving sim video. Thank you, I think I learned so much from this. Just to put this into practice.... Reference point, reference point, reference point, got it.
Great video, subscribed and waiting for the more in depth tricks :)
Great video, I still struggle to put into practice the principles you give but I am improving all the time.
Very good tutorial. Thank you Aris!
I love vids from devs, thanks Aris this was great!
Thx for all Aristotelis, nice video and nice explain of basic techniques ;)
Great video. Very informative and entertaining. Thank you.
PERFECT! Really enjoyed it. Very well explained
This video is like an island of hope in quality content about AC in the KZread ocean... Aris, please, continue with the series about Assetto Corsa. Yorkie did for PCars2. Assetto Corsa is devoted for the serious sim racer and a material like this would be great, the No 1 reference. Please, consider it with care. The community would appreciate it. Thank you for posting. L&S.
Your very honest and great description. I'm very new to this and no way near a pri, but I still enjoy trying. At least I can't get bored if I'm always trying to learn lol. Subscribed
Excellent video. It contained so many little things that add up to a great deal. Very impressed and so have subscribed. Please do more tuts for beginners.
Very nice man I’ve already improved my times by 3-4 seconds and I’ve just started. Cheers
Nice content sir, loving your videos!
Truly awesome video! Learned a ton!!!
This is simple but you explained it like a boss! Id say well done!
Great instruction that serves not just sim racers. Thank you!
And your English is perfectly understandable, love the accent! :-)
great video and very good english, very comprensive! Great Aristotelis, these videos are very useful!!!
Great tutorial! Had to lol a couple of time, especially at 33:10 "Bump - break -stupid". xD Anyways, you're great in explaining this kinda stuff, would love to have some in-depth explanation about setting up a car. Like a step by step explanation of where to start, what to adjust after that and so forth. I did find some help at racedepartment, but I don't really understand what it is exactly I'm changing and how to end up with a drivable and faster car. Anyways, thanks for the tutorial. It was clear, easy to understand and very useful!
Thx for the video Aris. We will waiting for your setup technics especially on Dampers and Suspensions..
Great video! Learned a lot!
Great video, I really enjoyed it.
Super stufff. English is very good, no worry! Thx Aristo.
Great video Aris! Thx
Very informative, thank you!
Nice video! Keep it up!
Wow! The dev speaking... This game got me into sim driving! Thanks Aris! (It inspired me to build my own wheel and pedals - and I'm planning my rig now) Subbed! - Love from Africa! EDIT: Wow! THAAANK YOUUU! I immediately tried to put all these to the test and from regularly ending up in 10th/11th- never even making it past 9th, I've now ended up 4th/5th 6 times in a row- and I've tested these techniques only 7 times in a row now! I used to slide or miss corners, understeer or oversteer all over the place, dreaded approaching corners- I wasn't in full control of the car, and now I feel like I'm flowing with the track! It was basically immediate improvement to 7th and then 5th! I didn;t think the improvement would be this quick and massive! Wow, wow, wow! "Slow in... fast out" Thanks buddy- you're a freakin hero man!
Awesome video!!!
nice video brother like the way you dissect the corners up
What a Class! thank You very much! Just bought a G29 and slowly improving, but get a little better day by day. I´m very good with keyboard, and played AC for a year just with keyboard. I use to play racing games since PC AT 286 with green screen! I´m having such a great time with AC and my G29! Greetings from Brazil!
Very good video...It's helping me a lot. Thanks very much for posting this...
Great info , Thanks very much.
Thank you. Very helpful for me
Fantastic video, I will try these tips on GT6.
Thankyou for your Videos.
No problems with your English. It very good. Much better than our Dutch politicians which try to speak English fluently but really sounds like a crow in despair ;-) But to the serious side, what a great video and great explanation of the topic. The problem with most videos out there is that they go way to fast over the topic of using a track and often lacks showing the difference in a less optimal balance and a fast fix stable balance. It is a great video and it would be a killer to have a ongoing serie like this. And I personally even wouldn't mind it if it is going to be a paid service. I find it that good and usefull!

Same here. When I bought this I was like "oh great, I can participate in 60s formula 1 races in this game". I've played for a couple of days now and boy am I not even close to being able to participate in races. I'm actually really happy when I can finish two laps without leaving the track :D
Even it's supposed to be "basic" level driving, I'm sure many of experienced players looked over on this minor things. To be honest I never balanced the tyre pressure on individual wheels. I didn't know it means that much. I'm looking forward to the next video!
I learned some things, thanks!
Damn it, after all this time i was trying to balance the temperatures of the tires, not the pressure. That explains things. Thanks for the driving tips, subscribed for more.

I have equal tire pressure now after this but I can't get the right side warm. Decreasing tire pressure will give you more drag and warmer tires right?
@martinveres9863
7 жыл бұрын
Sir Moss, I honestly think you have the answer since you have more experience than myself :) Jokes aside, lower tire pressures should give more heat, equally decreasing on all 4 corners once you have the ideal pressures. Or you could try giving the wheel more camber, or toe if all else fails. But I don't think it matters too much, since I could easily do a 1.12:2 with relatively cold right side tires (65°C core max).
@StirlingMossDrives

Martin Veres Hahaha, thanks for the reply! I think I'm just too paranoid seeing blue color on the tires but they are pretty warm anyway.

It's better to have optimum tire pressure than temperature. Look at the psi numbers and if they are in the green then you have the pressures right. You could change the compound to a softer tire to have better temperature but it's not necessary. Focus on pressure, not temperature. :)

Noob question. Why is the tire pressure unbalanced between left and right tires? Its because of the track having so much right corners (so the left tires suffer more) or its because of the weight of the driver on the right seat?
I need this. First time playing AC in VR over the last couple of days. Thought I was going fast ........... then I had a race!! :-/
Very cool MASTER ARIS!
Great video. I should really follow some of your advice. I'm around 2 sec off alien pace and I know I'm not always taking full advantage of the track width and some times my reference points are off. I can get much closer if I do it properly.
Thanks Aris!!
I'm just learning to race in AC, this is helping a lot. thank you

yep, if someone is slow first thing to sort out is the driving lines, setup can help you find half a second, proper lines can find you 3 seconds :) great vid, thanks

thank you very much for the explanation it is very helpful as I'm a rookie and I don't think your pronunciation is bad I think it's actually good

Hi, nice video What FOV do you recommend? Everybody seemed to be zoomed into the windscreen, but your setup you can see your wing mirror and out of the left window.
excellent thanks
Sorry for your English? no way! it was outstanding; nice work, Sir, Thanks!
Great video, I would love some info about FFB in next video. I don't know how it should feel. Should it be hard to turn, or be hard only in the middle, or not hard at all etc.
TL;DW: watch your replay to improve your lines and braking points, use all the road you can, set the good pressure compromise to have the same pressure on all tyres without making them cold or hot. in a later stage try to disable TC to gain more speed. with these tips he gains 3 seconds on a short track. nice video btw
Thx bro!!! 👊
Great!
I'm 15, been playing Assetto for almost two years now on my Thrustmaster TMX with T3PA pedals and TH8A shifter. I'm so accustomed to left foot braking from starting off with go karts and Ross Bentley. First time I drove a car, kept left foot braking lol, need to break the habit when driving on the street.
@sergiofn01
4 жыл бұрын
It's fine to left foot break in the street if you are not going to downshift, every time you have to break a bit without having to downshift left foot braking is good.
Non so perché mi ricordi Senna che descrive un suo giro, sarà l'inglese. Ottimo video, mi sono iscritto al canale. E complimenti per il titolo!

Didn't watch it yet, but thank you Aris!
Basic knowledge! (he said, starting with lecture about how important tyres temperature are :))))
Hi. a have a question, which is can't get off my had. This question regarding tire and pressure. A can't understand what is right, I do the equal pressure for all wheels when it hot, during practice session, but the temperature on the front tires is different to rear. It's much less than front like on your video for the right and left side. So what a have to do, follow the pressure or follow the temperature. Green tire - more grip, blue tire - less grip.
Please help me...going crazy...i saw the tire are the medium one and your psi is 19 and 17.in ps4 we begin as default with hard tires and 24 as psi.if i choose the medium tire and put 19 and 17 i have very high temps...any suggestion?!?instead leaving it at about 23 or 24 seems better...i'm a bit confused.thks for the vid
Noob question. Why is the tire pressure unbalanced between left and right tires? Its because of the track having so much right corners (so the left tires suffer more) or its because of the weight of the driver on the left seat?
I had a car view but idk what I did to make it first person how do I change it back
Aristotelis, what are your thoughts on FOV? It looks like you're using the default 56 degree or maybe the auto settings? What do you think about FOV calculators? I 'm "supposed" to be using 28 degrees but it's insane and makes everything twitchy.
I'm ready to go FASTER.
Which steering wheel do You use? And which You reccomend? Assetto Rocks!🤘
Good basic help... still I can manage 1:12.2 but not lower (at the moment)...
Thing is I can't get used to the heel - toe technique, pretty tough to get used to
There is something that really really bothers me, but i don't know if the problem is related to my wheel, settings, game or whatnot. The movement of the wheel in game dosn't correspond to what i do with my wheel. What happens is that usually a rotation of 90 degrees corresponds to a 180 degree rotation in game, or even more. Playing on PC with an old DFGT
