Assembly of Char-Broil Classic 2 Burner Gas Grill (Model
A walkthrough video of me assembling my Char-Broil Classic 2-Burner Gas Grill (Model #: 463672717).

8/19/23 - I had a few people ask about how the propane tank is attached. Here are a couple of Dropbox pics of how mine is setup. Please excuse the dirt (it is over 5 years old and still going strong) I added the rope in the pics for extra support of the grill, but it's not required. Hope the pics help.

Dude. Step one i was on for an hour. Never have I seen worst instructions from a manufacturer. Many thanks to you!!!
You deserve an award! This thing was 2 seconds from being scrap metal if it weren't for you lol. Thanks bro! Awesome instructions.

I got stuck putting the left side together too. I had already reboxed it and was going to return it when I found your video. This was very helpful, thank you!

He didn't help me with step 1 at all. How the heck did he connect the two L shaped tubes? And the washer that goes with the cotter pin for the wheels is so darn thick, the hole for cotter pin was completely covered even with a lot of pressure to push the wheel down. This is ABSOLUTELY the worst set of instructions I have ever seen, and I've assembled a lot of stuff. Char Broil will be getting a very toxic letter from me. I'll try again but if frustrated again, it's all going back to Walmart and I'll buy one pre-assembled. How does an established company perform so poorly on something like this.

@@jimp126 ok so when you look at the 2 holes in the bottom of the pole you see 1 of the holes looks taller then the other experiment around and find what the right size is

Airman 2012 lol 😂
Thank you for your detailed description of step one. I can't believe they don't mention anything about the holes not being at the same height. The rest of the video was also very helpful since the diagrams are a lot more complicated. This video is the only reason I was able to get the grill together.
Dude Charbroil should just make this video the official assembly video for this grill because you saved me so much time! Thanks for taking the time to make this video
Step 1-3 took some patience with everything falling apart! This video kept me sane lol. Thank you
Had to set one of these up today for some customers at my work. This video saved me hours. Thank you so much!!
Hello Jeff, I wanted to take the time and comment on your video. I wanted to say thank you so very much. My wife and I really struggled trying to get this put together.. We thought the legs had defected holes or wrong parts like so many others. We also think they should do a better job with the fine details of instructions, starting with explaining about the holes in the legs are not exactly the same, left vs right side. It took us about 4 hours to put this together but now, thanks to you and your very, very detailed video. Its up and running as I write this video at 12:15am.. Lol Again thank you so very much for this video. It would have been thrown to the trash if not for you.. Lol

Seriously this video helped so much
You are a gentleman and a scholar lol. "Watching a video is a whole lot easier." True story lol. I try to jump on KZread and see if anyone has a good assembly video and use less of the instructions haha! Great video! Only problem is that i had a side burner and i didn't realize you didn't, and made it a little harder t😅o connect the hose to the igniter 🤣. Still...wasnt hard to get under there and find the connect and you saved me a lot of time! Thank you, sir!
Thank you so much for your very helpful video. On July 4th, we started assembly in the yard then decided to drag the grill into the living room so we could watch your video. Everything went smoothly from there and it was like having you there giving us step by step instructions. Thank you ever so for taking the time to do this.
Your video was a life saver for me today! I too was stuck on step 1. same issue... top bars wouldn't go together. thank you very much for posting step by step instructions!
THANK YOU !!!! Jeff. You saved me hours of grief. I have the 3 burner, so it's slightly different. I couldn't find anyone who video'd the 3 burner, so your's worked fine. These companies should be making these videos for us !

Same here, I too hunted for help when I stumbled onto Jeff's video....❤
Thank you so much for this video! I wouldn’t have been able to put this grill together without it!
Thanks man, much love. Roommate said this would be a tough set up but you cleared up the primary problem, which was in the first step and it was smooth sailing from there...much love and have a beautiful life
Someone buy this man a beer! I would NEVER have been able to assemble this grill without this video. The lame illustrations made it feel like I was in the Hunger Games. May the odds be ever in your favor if you try it without this video.
Thanks for the video. Very helpful, still took me a couple of hours, but, you made it a little more fun. I really appreciate it.
Thank you for taking the time to make this assembly go as smoothly as it did for me. BIG THANKS MY FRIEND.
Thought I was the only person in the world who bought this grill, I can rebuild your engine, and this kicked my Arse!?.. In 3 languages I got Beat up! Thank you from USA Pa. Dear God, just wanted to burn a steak and have a beer.
Thank you so much Jeff! You saved my day. I was very close to return the whole thing back to the store! I still suffered, but the video made it less painful!
Jeff, you are brilliant putting this video together. I just bought my grill today, and was also stuck on the left hand sections. I NEVER would have figured out the holes were at different heights. You also saved me tons of time. Thanks for sharing this!!!!
Jeff thank you very much I must have spent a good two hours on this before I looking at your video this thing was so complicated to put together. You made it go by so much quicker, also the grate pun and the little extra advice in between was a nice touch
OMG, I would not have been able to assembly this grill without your video. I purchased it August 2017 and it sat in my dining room until today.
Thank You Jeff so much for putting this video together. It certainly made my job of putting this Gas Grill together a much easier task. Great instructions ... totally great!
Thank you very much for taking the time to make this video. I never could have put it together without it.
Dude, for SURE I wouldn't be able to do this by myself. My husband and I really appreciate your video and instructions. HUGE thank you
Thank you Mr. Wonderful! No way in hell could I have accomplished this without your easy to follow instructional step by step video. It's like you were here with me through the process.
This video was critical in my install of this rubix cube of a grill!! Thanks so much 🙏
Do not know what I would of done without this video. Thank you so very much!
Thank you so much! I would not have gotten my grill together without this video!!! Thank you! Than you!🎉
My family can eat tonight thanks to this man right here. Happy grilling my dudes.
Thank you for taking the time to make this perfect video! YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER!!!
Wow, this was a lifesaver today! I was ensured by the Lowe's employee that I could single-handedly put this together without an issue. As soon as I started I realized I may have been over my head and thought of returning it. Then I found this video and had it completed in just a little over an hour. Really appreciated, man!!! Also appreciated the B.S. joke ;)
You're a good man for doing this video for the rest of us considering to purchase this thing.
Thank you so much for the video! The 11:30 mark was a life saver
Thank you Jeff. Great video. I know it saved me at least an hour in assembly.
Thanks for making this video, it was a big help.
You were great. Thanks, couldn't have done this without you. What a sacrifice.
Thanks Jeff, great video. Made assembly real easy!
thank you Jeff. I had the same problem getting the axel on correctly and have the poles fit. huge help.
Oh booooy, without your awesome help and demonstration, after a crying fit and almost giving up, I took it one step at a time, and got through this after about 4 hours with your help (I have to admit I went for the wine and it made it better!). Thank you for helping. I got my grill today 5/29/2021 which is now called the American Gourmet model 465635821. And it's a 2 burner also. The only difference I could find was the heat gaskets were left over (labeled n2) I have no idea where they go. Thanks so much my hero!
You are literally a life saver. I can’t up-like this video enough!
I didn’t get as large a spark as you did! Hmmmmm... I think that’s why it’s not lighting that way. Also, that chain thing is to light the grill via a match! You put the match in the circular part and stick it through the grates when the gas is on. Simple!

Thanks! And here I always thought that you just risked your life by lighting the grill with a match. :)
What I found helpful is to put painters tape around where the leg joints come together
Thank you!! You have saved me days and my sanity!!
Thanks!!! Know I now why I found this baby in a bargain store .. so glad I found your tutorial 😃👍🏻
This video saved me a lot of time. Thank you for all of your help!
Couldn't have done it without your help.....❤❤❤❤
Thanks Jeff your video helped me greatly the instructions were not clear and I thought I was missing a part the front panel I wasted a half hour with char broil on the phone but thanks to you I discovered what the part really looked like bless you
Thank you SO much!! This video helped SO much with our assembly!!!! THANK YOU!!!
Thank you so much, Jeff! Couldn't have done it without you!
Thank you so much for the video. The instructions that came with the grill were not the easiest to follow and your video really helped out.
I just bought the same grill. Directions were ridiculous as you said. Only pictures. I wish I watched your video first but I put it together last night. I needed your video because that metal plate under the grill going over the gas line was baffling me. So thank you for showing me where and how that went! Took me about 3 hours also. Thanks again!
Thanks so much I could have never done this without your help!!
Saved me so much time and frustration. Thank you!
You saved my Christmas. Thanks!!!
Ha! Thanks for posting this! Christ that first wobbly part was driving me crazy! You saved me about an hour of frustration at least.

Very good addition to the crappy instructions. I watched your video after I went thru the instructions, (by the way that little chain and tool is for lighting the grill with a match). Jeff i saw a large PD star on the wall, are you on the job?

@@jimp126 Sorry I couldn't help you out. I don't get on here and read the comments very often. I would assume that you probably figured it out by now, but in case you didn't, the key to step one is sliding that bottom cross bar through the correct holes (they are drilled at different heights on the side bars). Once you do that it will go together rather easy.

@@michaelhoger697 No. I'm not. I have a lot of friends who are though and I respect what they do.
Thanks Jeff, even though I purchased a three burner version watching this video gave me the confidence to assemble the unit because the parts and instructions were completely intimidating. When I contacted the company they directed me to your video which is a little pathetic since any fair-minded person (you & the commentators) couldn’t endorse the product or instructions. The main reason I’m writing is to say the three burner version I assembled in June 2022 seemed easier than what you went through. So while not endorsing the company or product it seems like they made some improvements on the assembly process so I share this for people who felt intimidated as I did.
Awesome video brother, thanks for your help.
Thank you for the walk through. It was really helpful!
OMG I cried due to step one!!! I watched your video 20 times. Thank you!!!!
Thank you!!! You are the best, very easy to follow and work along side!
Thanks Jeff you saved me so much time. Thanks again bro
Awesome video it helped me put the grill together without my hubbys help😁
Nice I put one together last night can't wait to start grillen
Yes thxs for the video was a great help, my first assembly at a propane grill and it didn't blow up lol grilling season is here hopefully
Thank you so much for making this video. I was pretty lost in the beginning and this was an excellent companion to the instructions. Would have taken me 2x as long without this.
Thanks Jeff. I just ordered the same grill from Walmart was told its on the way. Thanks for the heads up with assembly.
Thank you so much, it was a life saver, first time I have something like this. Thank so much
Thank you very much for your generosity!
Hello thank you so much for this video !! your video was amazing and saved me tons of time, when I first tried to build it I gave up and I was gonna have Amazon build it. But this video saved the day and an 88.00 dollar handyman fee THANK YOU !!!!1
Thank you for this video. You are correct it is easier than the written instructions..
Thanks for the beta on this build. Pretty handy. Bobby pin = Cotter pin.
That rectangular piece between the burners, that transfers the flame from left to right
Thank you for this!! It helped so much!
OMG! You are the greatest ~ if it weren’t for your video, this grill would never have been put together as the printed instructions were terrible. Thanks !!
Thank you so much, couldn't have done it without your help.
Thank you for the help. Saved me some time and frustration.
Great Video! Helped Out An Whole Lot.
You’re the man! Thanks bro!
My boyfriend loved your commentary 😂
Thank you for the instructions, and your commentating was 😁 funny..thank you
Excellent video. Thanks.
Seriously, thank you for doing this. I have parts left over.
Good job on making a video because there wasn't one....love it!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I HATE diagram instuctions. You saved me 3 hours for sure. You did a great job! Made my life easy.
10:41 "these two devices whatever the hell they are..." LMAO
Thank you so much, you saved my sanity!!
Thanks bro...took me 3 hours as well. Good job!
Thank you so much for this video. You helped us out a lot!!! :)
I rarely like non music videos and comment but you saved me so much. Thank you so much for this video!
thank you sir, this is a lot easier to follow than the instruction book. :)
Thank you Jeff for this video. Saved me an hour at least! lol 👍🏼
I put this together in about 4 hours. Horrible instruction came with this. Your video is great. I'm stuck on how to place propane tank onto grill. Wish you had added that small part haha.
Jeff - I couldn't have assembled the barbecue without referring to your video. Thanks much for taking the time to explain, step by step.
Your video helped so much, thank you! I loved your BS comment, that’s exactly howI felt. Happy grilling!
I do appreciate this video. Was just looking at the assembly directions and thought.....what the heck!
Thanks so much for posting this!
Thank you for this video! I got the 3 burner model but it's nearly identical. I had a heck of a time figuring out the bobby pin things. Took me 2-1/2 hours and a lot of cursing but it's finally done. The "instructions" they send are awful.
