After making a new lead screw for the shaper, it's time to put it all back together again and do some test cuts.

Outstanding. i really need to do the nut and screw on my shaper, its real bad. maybe this summer. I did get my 5c collet chuck almost done. Never ending story. I am sure if you set up a travel dial on both axis you could make those stairs exact on that machine, now that its accurate again.

Hey up, good rebuild Michel. Tell me when you are running up to stop like on those small 2mm step how do you judge when to stop the machine? Do you use the dial, or set a physical stop on the table or by eye? This is something I encounted making tee nuts, i watched to see when the cutting oil was wiped from the corner. Thankyou
