What a beautiful wheel!

Thank you for this video. I have the same wheel, but in unfinished wood. I will give it two layers of line oil and then put the wheel together. Your video will help me to get the job done.

Thanks for this beautiful video and all the thought and time you put into it. I asked yesterday what kind of spinning wheel you use, but I see now. I have been spinning for a year on a double drive flax wheel that’s 200 years old. I love it so much, but if I ever want to spin thicker than sport I’ll have to get a new wheel. This one looks perfect.

Thanks for watching, Lisa! And yes, it's super fast and quiet. Took some getting used to that speed.

I have a Symphony too and now it's 3 years since I built mine. It's such a beautiful, quiet wheel. If you haven't already done so you need to oil the leather on the maidens and footmen. Leather can go hard and brittle without treatment.

@@AimeeSherMakes yes that will do fine, it's what I use. It will turn the leather dark too.

What a beautiful wheel! I'm trying to decide what to get for my first (own) wheel, started on a Louet S17 that a friend lent me. The Kromski style is so gorgeous and I really want a double treadle. Thank you for making and sharing your videos! What's that lovely cardigan you're wearing?

It's Truss and it's available on Ravelry or at Brooklyn Tweed! Double treadle makes a huge difference for me in how fast my feet get tried. Good luck finding the perfect wheel for you!

The front footman can get rattly. I have some leather tied behind mine to hold it up front and quiet it down. My Symphony is silent now.

Hi there! Do you recommend the symphony for a double drive wheel? I want a wheel that is very responsive, flies like the wind without having to crank the treadle crazily and a quiet wheel. Thoughts? Beautiful video and spinning ❤

Yes absolutely. I’m very happy with this purchase and I did a La Bien Aimee fiber launch video recently where you can see some more spinning with this wheel. It and I had a rocky first year because I hated the drive band and replaced it with cotton twine that was too thick. Now that I have 8/2 cotton weaving yarn as the drive band we are happy as clams. It is so fast that I hardly ever use the extra fast whorl I got for it. It is quiet and easy. The only annoying thing is that I can’t get the fast whorls to work with the jumbo flyer which some said I can.

is this the walnut or mahogany finish?
