I remember working at a Game store back when this was released, hearing nothing but bad reviews due to the broken game & game itself. I remember getting it for Christmas with my staff discount & I can honestly say it's one of my favourite games of all time, so so underrated. Gorgeous too!

Animations were nice, mechanics are mid-tier in terms of the series as a whole. It was the worst in the series at the time of its release, but every subsequent game has only gotten worse.

I don't think it's a bad game at all. The glitches and the bugs makes it worst. If it wasn't for those two, this game could've been the best modern AC games ever. But overall it's a solid AC game. Can't be mad at it.

@@AK47_u Yeah, I've pretty much just started Unity since I took a break from the AC games and I remembered I e joyed unity when I first played it so I'm pretty much a complete newbie and it definitely feels like if you haven't got experience with the parkour system you can get stuck pretty easily, not gonna stop me playing tho as so far I'm loving the story and style of it all, also the animations are great imo

Probably my favorite AC game that I can play on repeat, even with the damn bugs. But such a shame cause it had some great potential. All it needed was a few more added game mechanics from previous ac games and maybe another year or two in development. Would’ve probably been the best ac ever made.

AC Unity's story feels like a prologue of Arno's story imo.

I love how wholesome Hollow is. He'll literally just enjoy a game without worrying of its stigma. He's all like "I'm really excited about this game!"

I love that the parkour and the assasinations are so smooth, there’s not really any “cutscenes” when assasinating

Bro i soooo loved this game, maybe some people gave a bad review but man playing this felt like a real assassin because of the fluidity and the fact that the world is very open i can play all day together with the flawless parkour :>

latest version of the game is 10/10 no buggs smooth graphics and gameplay ocasional popping and minor graphical glitches (every game has em) this is the best GAMEPLAY AC game period.

Sucks it didn’t live up to the hype

A few tips: (no spoilers mentioned) Guns are op in this game. Try to avoid them as much as you can. Use the detection system to your advantage. Let guards see you till the mark gets red so they come to your position. Do some side quests every now and then to earn some money to upgrade your load out since it really will make a difference. Those golden chests contain Assassin Outfits from older Assassins. You will encounter the Cafe Theatre after a couple of missions. Once you unlocked it, play every mission possible and renovate as many buildings as you can to earn a reasonable amount of money. 40 t and hour so, might be less. The difficulty is ranked in 5 levels. You are currently a recruit which is the reason why your difficulty level is so low. It will get harder by progressing. You'll unlock some skills in form of points in this game. Use them wisely. Get the staggering strike and the heavy attack first and upgrade your health and your Assassin abilities. Buy a heavy sword in the beginning of the game since it will allow you to take on harder enemies. After you've progressed a bit you should change it to a normal sword since it is the fastest and most reliable on.

This game is so underrated and over hated it’s sad. Hoping you do daily uploads of this game!!!

The assassin from the prologue is Thomas de Carneillon. He doesn't say anything and is basically a darker reskin of Altaïr, but his armor is obtainable through the Nostradamus Enigmas later in the game.

Omg! I just got PTSD from the Nostradamus enigma's they were so hard but so fun to solve..im proud to say that i completed most of them without looking it up flr the kost part, only for 2 of the enigma's i felt the need to google it cuz it was driving me crazy

Unity was the first game that made me start liking Assassin's Creed series back in 2014. I remembered the story pretty well and the characters too, such as Arno, but I forgot where I was. I'm looking forward to watch this!

This is actually one of my favorite assassins creed games, I just remember how much they were forcing NPCs down your throat because with new-gen they could do that.

After Desmond died (and since AC4) Abstergo got what they wanted, they used the Animus to "design videogames" under the brand Helix, breaking the fourth wall and using you, the player, to explore their subjets's memories, Rebecca and Shawn infiltrated the company too

@@sirpranabR I liked Valhalla. It doesn't have the same vibe as classic AC games, but it's a great game nonetheless. Great story. Great combat. OK Stealth. All around a good game I'm not sure how I feel about Infinite. I feel like it's a lazy cop out for developers. Unless they're thinking that we're at the limit of gaming technology for a long while. But I fail to see how a game that is just dlc is going to expand and improve upon game play mechanics to keep it fresh. It will just get stale after few expansions.

@@sirpranabR Yeh. I used to be a cult member who was part of the cult following. But ever since untity, it went down hill. Oddesy was OK. I always wanted something more ancient, closer to the time of Isu. Being a fameless mercenary on a backwater Island who learns of his birth right and grows into a demigod. The story was inspiring. Which made me look past other shortcomings. If the game was called Oddesy, A Demigods Tale, it would probably be widely acclaimed. My biggest gripe is ever prevalent micro transactions. It's It's cancer. Valhalla was better than Oddesy. I love the combat animations and dismemberment. The story was also very good. They are not as great as the originals. But they are still good games.

I love Arno so much because he acted just like Ezio. He even looks like Ezio when he was young. 😁

For real I always hear people say unity sucks but this is honestly is the best it’s story line isn’t so long and complicated like others

24:44 The voice acting is good, and I love this game. It definitely got more hate than it deserved (although, it was very broken upon release). But, why did they decide to do British accents for a game set in France? It still baffles me, across all other games they’ve mostly been very good about using the proper accent, but not this game. It bothered me so much that on my second play-through I actually played the game entirely in French with English subtitles.

That’s actually a very good idea. It would make the game more immersive, probably why a lot of ppl enjoyed Assassins Creed, II and Brotherhood, because the voices were actually set in Italian like accents. It made the story good as well just bc the voices connect. Once I buy this for my pc since it’s on sale for 5$ rn I’ll set it in French with subtitles, thanks friend!

the fact that the templars were shown multiple times at the very beginning of the game shows just how great this games story telling is

FINALLY!! I originally started watching the series hoping that you would play unity, but I thought I might as well watch so I can relive the AC's that I've played but then I was like I should stick around and learn the stories of the games that I hated or never got to play and I have to say I'm grateful for it.

Forget all bugs and fps drops...this game is stunning

This game is one of the best assassins creed gameplay wise now that we look back at it. The parkour in that game was the best it’s ever been and it’s a shame they won’t bring it back.

Man this is my favourite AC. I would love Unity 2 where Arno tries to find the guy that killed his father , i.e Shay .

This game really understood how to make just walking around the city interesting, even if there was only a couple "tackle the thief" or "kill the criminals" events over and over, it was enough to make you feel like a French Revolutionary Batman vigilante..Roam the rooftops, spot some activity below, drop down and take care of business, disappear back into the crowd.

So glad I found someone who completely playes the assassins creed games, it was hard finding something like this

it's amazing seeing your reactions with this gameplay... reminds me of my first time playing. this game is still so amazing to me

Absolute love all of ur vids Hollow!!! Especially the Assassins Creed marathon. I did however notice in this video that it somewhat hard to hear ur commentary over the gameplay when the gameplay has a lot going on. So if u could just slightly turn up ur commentary volume that would be great!! Its nothing too crazy at all. It's just ur commentaries are one of main reason I enjoy watching ur walk thru's. And like I said when there was a lot going on ur commentary was somewhat hard to hear over the gameplay, so if u could turn up ur commentary volume just a little bit, that would be fantastic! Just my feedback, but like I say on all ur vids, absolutely love ya Hollow!! #WELCOMEBACK

Nah the story and character didn’t hold much interest. If they didn’t give it to Connor or Edward they definitely weren’t giving it to Arno.

@@danielmunguia8341 I think the ending was way too obvious, like I saw it coming from a mile away. But also the whole connection to the brotherhood was done wrong, you basically didn’t even know they existed outside of missions and then they kick you out because you’re after an evil Templar that they seem completely uninterested in. Arno was just very charismatic in a young Ezio kind of way

Other games you get some info about them and you even come across them but unity feels like hey kill this guy and then this guy. The beginning of his story was great but they fumbled it in y opinion. What do you think about side quests compared to game like origins?

@@danielmunguia8341 the side quests were fun, especially the murder mysteries. Also I think the whole coop mode could’ve been an amazing addition if it wasn’t so buggy at launch, the missions themselves were fun. To me, Unity’s main issue is it seems rushed, like they pulled it out of the oven as soon as it was ready when they should’ve let it get crispier and more enjoyable

@@ryannichols3101 to me the murder mystery one are great in almost every ac game and unity as well really well done but the rest I’m not sure compared to origins. But yea I agree it does feel that way sadly. It just feels like it was meant for the ps5 smh and it sucks cause they most likely won’t revisit this era in France.

I had this game when it came out but I was young so I was an absolutely atrocious player and i recently reinstalled it and finished the main story and I LOVE this game to death. And side rant, the Altaïr suit in this game is never being beaten

Damn I remember when he was just a cod channel, times have changed and I love it

Finally!!!! This is my favorite one of series. It does feel like a next gen assassins creed. Sadly the bugs and a rushed release really hurt the game but i think you will really enjoy it in 2021 without a lot of those issues

Ehhh AC3 ended about 10 years before Arno became an Assassin. In that beginning scene when Arno was a kid was when Connor was an Assassin, but AC3 ended in the early 1780s.

47:55 Those are De La Serre's killers (and your future assassin targets), you met them at the front gate ;) Crazy how the story is tied up! I didn't notice that till my 3rd playthrough to be fair!
