@@Gannoh Actually it's Altair that already designed that. Even in Origins Bayek only loses a finger because he has to use the blade while his hand is balled in a fist I believe. After that it's more a show of conviction to remove your finger, a sacrifice, not a necessity.

@@ivsine some fighting styles look much more like dancing now I do not know much about spartan fight styles but in others spinning your weapon grants you momentum to break your oppents defense.. now let's assume for some reason kass never fought a viking and if she did it wasn't somebody as good as evior she would have to adjust to a new fight style which is diffucult at first and same goes for evior... yes in this fight they are evenly matched but in future fights kassandra would probbally wipe the floor with him till he figured out how to beat her

THIS is how you do a clash of protagonists. There was no disrespect done to either of them, and both got to show off a TON of their skills against one another. Eivor's more primal, raw, and adaptive style vs Cassandra's sharp, disciplined experience. It went wonderfully well, and is how all protagonist fights should go; respect given to both along with the appropriate badassery, but don't give too much love to one side unless they've REALLY earned it.

Just played it tonight. It was awesome to see them team up. I played odyssey as alexios (because he looks more intimidating and badass) but this made me almost want to consider playing as Kassandra.

I love their different fight styles, kassandra mixes in low strong moves with finesse no matter what weapon with her years of experience while eivor is more quick like a trapped animal

I like how Kassandra made a makeshift Broken Leonidas spear out of the Axe Handle.

So we gonna ignore how eivor fought a demi God who lives thousand of year and still keep up with kassandra

Actually it’s kassandra the one that should be praised eivor is a sage so he’s a demi god while yes kassandra is a demi god to she lost her powers because she doesn’t have the spear anymore so basically she’s a human that’s very good with fighting

Reminds me a lot of the Achilles vs Hector fight from Troy. Kassandra like Achilles is more graceful in movement but Evior like Hector is putting all his emotions into each move

i love how the fighting style really showed how versatile the greek sword fight is

The need to cut off the ring finger is only thanks to Bayek which became an initiation ritual for Assassins until Ezio's time. So, either she got her blade before Bayek or it could be a makeshift blade from her time with Darius. She got over 1000 years, after all.

Notice how Kassandra stops and tilts her head as if to listen for something. When Eivor asks if she heard something, she actually had. It wasnt just her thinking. Since she has her father's spear, she's granted immortality. But what else was she granted? The ability to speak to Aletheia. It was Aletheia speaking to her, letting her know that it's best to work with Eivor. Most likely different wording as we aren't presented with what she actually said, but I do believe that's what was happening in that moment. Amazing detail.

Why Eivor look like a spicy football coach in his early 30’s here😂

A cool detail I’ve just noticed about Kassandra during the fight is if you watch her, she actually goes through 4 distinct fighting styles associated with different future protagonists. She starts off in her usual Spartan fighting style, heavy weapons, force and momentum, then draws the sword and switches to an Ezio’esque fluid, balanced & precise style. Then goes through Edward and Connor with a dual swords, bucaneer style and hunters techniques, and finishes with a Viking strong style similar to Eivor. Eivor adapts, but Kassandra shows her 1000+ yr combat experience at this point by effortlessly changing styles and approach depending on her arsenal.

Interesting. Chip is the muscle and Dip is the technique. The villain was a mixture of the two which is why he was proved to be a threat. This attention to detail plus the underlying "give me your mask plot" was amazing

I love how Eivor says fine if we must as if fighting is so much more easier than talking

I love how Kassandra is just playing around, cracking jokes where Eivor is trying to survive

Considering she's a half alien immortal demigod who murdered two entire cults, manhandled numerous bounty hunters, fought and defeated, Hermes, Hades, Cerberus, a cyclops, a gorgon, an hekatonchires, journeyed from Greece to the Underworld to Elysium to Atlantis, Kassandra would body Eivor if she was actually trying to.

Who else also uses altaïrs outfit or ezio’s the entire game on every single game? The outfit just makes me want to play without weapons and stealth only just to get that satisfying feel of silently killing with the hidden blade or leonides’s spear just is on a different level

The fabled cannon weapon 1:40 Sword of heroes. That weapon is ancient it's like thousands of years old. I like that they added in the detail that it has rust all over it doll over it and beat up looking you can tell it's been in a lot of battles. Compared to how it looked in Odyssey thousands of years before

The Sparta Kick at 2:31 is probably my favorite part of this. Maaaan, how I loved that ability in Odyssey. :D

It's impressive how well Eivor held his own against Kassandra. Spartan with around 1000 years of experience. Guess that's a Viking for ya.

Fun Fact, Kassandra would be nearly 1400 years old when she meets Eivor

I like this, this is good, neither one of the protagonist were made to look bad or be better than the other or disrespected. They both showed off how badass they both were. Even in the end, Kassandra showed her lifetimes of experience in battle and Eivor at the end was basically equal to a Demi-god, further more, a god damn Spartan! Both are so epic! This is what games need when two main liked protagonists meet to not make another audience angry.

Even though she doesnt use her grandfathers spear, she still uses a broken spear even with or without ISU Abilities, that just shows how Kassandra is not in Assassins Creeds Level because she just uses a Spear instead a hidden blade

I played Valhalla last year and this scene seemed normal to me but now when I played Odyssey, I was like oh shit, what the hell man, I was so confused and flabbergasted at the same moment man, what a crossover

Viking war chief rolls up on a cursed location wearing Crusades-era robes, on a Wolf. I genuinely love modern Assassin's Creed games.

As badass as Kassandra is, I feel so sorry for her, she is cursed with something horrible, immortality, cursed to watch the people she cares about dying again and again.

She doesn't appear to be suffering though. If anything, she seems to be enjoying her immortality since she gets to be a beautiful young woman forever and the world has essentially become her playground whenever she's not saving it from Juno's schemes. Also, I don't think Kassandra is emotionally attached to her descendants since she has so many of them that their deaths have become inconsequential to her.

@@vetarlittorf1807 yes I think she’s enjoying it but you can’t say that she isn’t emotionally attached to people. If you played odyssey the dlc that started all this you could see her contemplating if she should go after the artifacts, she wanted to grow old and have a family. She thought it was “unfair” at first, she even ended up having a son and being with a guy, the world was after kassandra so to keep her child safe she sent him off with the father far away I believe not sure though. I made kassandra with her choices in odyssey a person that is considerate, helps without needing money and always trying to do the best she can for her loved ones. She’s lost friends and she has cried. She was 100% attached emotionally to people but now their all dead so not anymore and if you see her relationship with evior, you could see she was fond of him and good friends. She showed him the word “maláka” evior had no clue what it meant and she explained it to him. Kassandra enjoyed her immortal life but there was a lot of grief behind it and I believe it made her even more a “workaholic” she dug in those artifacts even more while she was grieving, and made her even more determined in my opinion.

@@katherinehetu5717 What I'm saying is that after centuries of seeing people getting old and die, she most likely started to be unaffected by watching others die because she's so used to it. Either way, it's clear that she enjoyed her immortality. Having the body of a woman in her 20's and with the world as her playground whenever she's not fighting against Juno's schemes.

By this point, 1,303 years have passed between Odyssey and Valhalla. Kassandra would have been in her twenties in Odyssey, with 17 years passed between being thrown off the mountain and finding her mother on Naxos. She would be round 1,325 - 1,330 years old by this time she met eivor

I’m kinda bummed about this. I played Odyssey as Alexios so it felt really odd when I interact with Kassandra being I never played her in Odyssey. It really sucks they didn’t include Alexios in the crossover… and plus the ending of Odyssey showed Alexios in present day, so seeing this play out will just felt off to me like it doesn’t connect.. I couldn’t engage in her character because I was so use to seeing Alexios.

That outfit on Eivor is ridiculous

I use the Ragnar lothbrok style with the shaved head and a streak of hair down the middle haircut for my eivor but I have to say the short hair really works well for this outfit.

Imagine if she did the Hero Strike

if theres one person to take down kassandra, its alexios. close. other than that, who the hell can defeat a greek demi god ?

You might be surprised. Later in the story Kassandra outright commends Eivor for being strong, Eivor later states that they had Kassandra cornered. Not even minutes later, Kassandra confirms this by saying that she and Eivor are of similar strength, at the sea coast, Kassandra further states that Eivor took a lot out of her in that fight and that she wasn't sure if she was ready for a second fight, to which Eivor states that Kassandra had put them on their toes as well. So uh, nah, reincarnations of the Isu are pretty much equal to literal demigods in AC now.

@@Assassin-js1jp lol Eivor just have higher ego like every Viking where do you see Eivor cornered Kass?she legit have her blade by Eivor throats at the end and she clearly toying with her the entire fight Eivor cant even touch Kass other than when she was distracted by Eivor hidden blade lol check again.

I love the "Fine... if we must." Dude would just love to keep fighting all damn day XD

I remember when assassins creed was good.

Id definitely bet Kassandra is a significantly better fight that Eivor largely because of how long she’s been alive to this point and I can imagine her skills sharpened as she aged. Edit: Id go as far to say that she is the strongest protagonist in the series by a good bit. I’m not taking away from Altair, Ezio, Edward etc. and saying they’re weak, because they absolutely aren’t but at the same time, you can’t ignore the benefits of well over 1000 years of keeping on it and learning new ways to fight.

Literally the only thing that saved Eivor was the fact that Kassandra saw his hidden blade, which caused her to hold back her killing blow later just so she could show him hers. She disarmed him three times, fought a good portion of the fight with her hand behind her back, even ducked his killing blow casually. She played with him the entire fight

2:52 this is why the hidden blade are supposed to be under the wrist, it became shorter on the arm.

The funny thing is that when I first watched AC Valhalla trailer before the game came out, I thought Randvi is Kassandra making a return. 😂

Man this looks fun. Playing origins at the moment can’t wait to play the other two games

Enjoy origins as it's phenomenal. Odyssey is a pretty bad but valhalla is surprisingly decent

A human Isu hybrid (Kassandra) fighting Odin's Sage (Eivor) is epic. Both of them are strong and have the strength of an Isu. Isu are strong beings to the point human rebels had to resort to assassinating them from the shadows to beat them. The stealth trait was inherited by the human rebels' descendants and the descendants' followers which might consist of Darius, Kassandra, and etc.

Finally, kasandra has hidden blade

Oh my god. I love this!

Eivor has more axes under his belt than Batman has Batarangs under his!

I just had that encounter….. I thought it was going to be WAY later in the game; almost at the end

The best part about this is the leitmotif for Kassandra when she reveals herself

kind of disapointed, the scene is amazing however it was too short, there wasn't too much challenge in the isle of the skye. The scene was fantastic, however I would have preffered to fight this fight myself. Also it would have been amazing if we could choose to fighting either as Kassandra or Eivor. AC Odyssey was my favorite game
