Assassin's Creed: The Real History - "Louis-Joseph Gaultier de La Vérendrye"

In the fiftieth episode of "Assassin's Creed: The Real History" we take a look at the French Canadian military officer, fur trader and explorer Louis-Joseph Gaultier, Chevalier de La Vérendrye.
This series will be a way for me to shed light on the real history behind characters, groups, events and locations that are showcased in the Assassin's Creed video game series. Throughout the video I will be comparing real historical moments to those represented in the selected game.
If you have any characters, groups, events or locations that you'd like me to cover in the future, please be sure to leave it in a comment below.

I love it when Assassins are based in real people.

Am I the only one that notices that his assassin outfit kind of resembles the clothes worn by William the Huntsman? From AC3 and AC4 multiplayer? Coincidence? Also, the native american assassin from rogue reminds me of the Independent because of his hair.

Ironically, Chevalier behaved as a Templar rather than as an Assassin. Even his title means Sir, associated with Knights. Templar Knights.

What a great punch at the end :D Thanks Robius, great video ! It's a shame the game didn't last longer. They could've portrayed the targets/Assassins in a better way than in the previous games, since Shay knew them personnaly before he had to hunt them down.

I know people gonna disagree but I preferred this guy over Shay tbh, Shay was cool sometimes but he wasn't that great like some of the other characters
