After I died around 5 times I got her to a very low health and suddenly TWO FRICKING SHIPS COME. I was on my last healthbar and I litteraly non-stop said: this is it, I'm gonna die and I have to start this entire fight over but I luckily managed it

the 2 is just an oversized man o war no trouble really just spam mortars and charge nothing compared to any of the other legendary ships

Beating this thing is one of the most satisfying things I have ever done in a game. By the way: 4:43 : Storm Fortress is so intimidating that even Shay says he'll have to rely on luck rather than his usual: 'I make my own luck'.

I'm proud to title this ship The "Stress Boi"

I'm proud to say that I managed to sink the Storm Fortress and its two helpers in one sequence. I was literally in the red and one broad cannon strike from any of them would've killed my ship. But I prevailed in this very very tough, truly epic battle. Yahoo!

It's actually not so hard...I did it in my second try.. You have to use all the weapons you got and most important is using you ram to stay clear of her broad sides and sting her in the ass

If you time it right before the god knows how much broadside cannon hits you just charge through the red mark and continue to hit it with the broadside cannon it deals slightly more than Mortar in fact its imperative to save the mortar for Argonaut and Sceptre ship

Went to beat Storm fortress with ship fully upgraded and using the circle of death tactic. Result - Got killed. 2nd try - Listened to my crewmen "stay away from her broadside and use mortars, sir"... used all my mortar shots on it. Result - Victory.

After five years about to relive this battle on the remastered version. Across both AC4 and Rogue this one stressed me the most.

I wish we can use a powerful man o war like that in the missions that will be cool and fun

Every single time I see This Fight, it gives me the chills. Probably the only fight in all my years of gaming that I won't mind losing to.

"cabbage farmer" would've been better

Basically: 1. Charge to the front side of it 2. Before you ram its head, stun it with front cannon 3. Turn until this ship is right behind you, and then go full stop 4. Burn it until it turns 5. Escape to the direction opposite where the ship turned 6. Sail around until you reach the front side again, and then repeat 7. While sailing around, avoid cannons with charge ram. Also you can shoot mortar once in a while 8. The other 2 are much easier

I just love how it just spawns in four man o wars after you just fought a ship that eats through the entire set of health bars with one strike at full upgrades.

i beated it,i saved 3 mortar after arrival of two ships when storm fortress health reaches to minimal level.then i used remaning mortar to destroy storm fortress then i used plenty of burning oil and cannons to destroy last two ships.

I don’t like how the Morigan looks like a Schooner. Brig, Frigate, Man O’ War, Ship Of The Line anything but a Schooner or Gunboat

I hated this boss fight, I killed the storm fortress and one of the other ships it spawns and the last one and my ship had low health, I won but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t stressful for a video game

+Don Raggo I must have lost 50 to 100 battles against this ship before I beat it.Everything almost has to go perfect or you die. I'm sure everyone will agree that this is one of the few ships that make you pay for your mistakes. I never really could get in front of it without paying dearly. I just made sure that storm fortress and my ship were like a damn merry go round. Always circling each other but my range would let me hit it just a little. And the charge attack was essential for me to get behind it for ramming or attack purposes.Using the puckle gun at close range doesn't hurt either. I saved my mortars for part 2 of that battle I ended up with about 1 and a half bar of health by the beginning of phase 2 of that battle which gave me more flexibility in fighting because I wasn't afraid one stray shot might kill me. At this point I have been going back and finishing the fleet battles so I can be completely finished with the story.

There is actually a pretty easy method to kill the storm fortress in about 2 min. First buy the max elite barrel damage + storage. You dodge its broadside canons with ram, then you ram in to the broadside (save the charge tho for this move) then when you are next to him quickly charge to get before him and just use all your fire barrels on him, its easiest to slow down max when you are in front of him to get more time. This will do some much damage in only one minute. I killed him with full hp left and he was dead in literally a minute, then it was easy to kill the other 2. Hope this helps☺

Must have tried it 50 times, zero chance and the game constantly mocks thd player too. Come back after an upgrade? There are no more upgrades.

You must fight with it in a wrong way, try use oil to burn it down, it works

Your tactics to defect Storm Fortress is to circle it around, charge-mortar-charge, and after using up all 20 volleys of mortars it still floats!!! That’s a ship of the devil.

I think. This is only right and universal strategy. I have beat it. i need over 15 tries. I never thought use that strategy to stay behind SF. Because i thought that was impossible. i used similar strategy but from a far away spamming mortal and if it possible having a change i use broadside. Instead of staying behind him. I keep in of front of his trajectory so i can get away from his broadside cannon. His mortal ia easy to avoid with turning 45 degree and ram speed. But this take more times.

I died like 100 times but I am not gonna give up so easily

I can't imagine attempting this with the Jackdaw. The Morrigan has the same hp but has a smaller hitbox and more speed While the Morrigan has less firepower on the broadsides with heavy shot (Jackdaw shoots two heavy shot per reload) it has a double round shot which is just better because of it's range. It also has a weaker ram but the burning oil easily compensates. The Morrigan turns so well that it feels like you're defying physics. tl;dr: the morrigan is weaker in close range, but better in medium, and it is faster and smaller and can take the same amount of damage, the burning oil is also really nice.

All this for the finest outfit in the game. I'm going to finally do this today

Uhhmm .. no the Jackdaw isn't a big ship it's more like a frigate and this one is more likely a man o war and also. The Jackdaw sunk you can see it's wreck in AC4 Freedom cry

Note- Storm fortress you can beat this but You got to use your Super Speed to dodge the cannons n mortars.(Press n hold L1 then press Square then X.)Use also your fire Barrels when out in front.It does a lot of damage as well.Of course use cannons n mortars too.Game On! :)

Second try. Shit thing is that when i tried it a little bad move with that ram could easily destroy 1 bar so what i did is mortar and ram at last health

I like black flag don’t get me wrong! But the rouge is just amazing, the ships and knowing all British ships are on your side is amazing, when I got black flag it doesn’t give you the feeling you want of being a fearless pirate, you only see 1 other pirate ship like every other day irl, but rouge makes you feel like you have power and the jackdaw is great but (I can’t think of the other boat off the top of my head) I’d just easier to get around and the ram id much stronger, they are both sailing steam rollers and both games are amazing! But rouge wins my opinion

It was pretty tough but I beat it my first try without losing any health with my hands tied behind my back while playing mozart's K.576 on a piano with my feet.

Kill all of the other Legendary ships and this beast will show up Pro tip circle close to her rear with her broadside firing near you

I burned the shit outta the ship (lol) i just got behind it and chased it down to hit it from behind which is a good tactic after about two minutes it was chasing me and i just used all my oil

Morrigan upgrade to its 100% will make the battle easy and possible. It doesn't give pressure to gamers at an insane level as some people are saying in the comment section. Strategy is the key, turn hard right, charge your way forward to move quickly & get behind the ship, maintain the position behind the ship, explosive shot when storm fortress starts moving, keep firing, storm fortress will fall eventually. Morrigan is good but a little sluggish for this sort of battle & this is why it sounds so stressful but it is easy.

What the hell where the devs thinking

All the reviews hints and shit....20 something videos...and FINALLY yours helped me beat this motherfucker after having a 9 day stress event.....thank you so much

Idk about other but for me legendary ships in Rogue was easier that in Black Flag I can't prove it but I beat that ship in 1 try

Well, canonically Morrigan is Stronger than Jackdaw

I realise that i just fight level 99 and Fully upgrade Morrigan level is 60 💀

Did it on third try all you need to do is abuse ram speed

why don't we get more rows whit canons? The ship morigan its a good ship, but why dont we get a bigger ship its more funnier than or you all dont agree?

Cor Dekker the jackdaw has more broadside cannons that can cause devastating amounts of fire powet a better and stronger reinforced hull that can take serious damage. It has a couple of powerful mortars as well and it's bigger than the morrigan plus it's a much better game and Edward kenway is just badass much better than this guy who talks like he just ate shit. Plus kenway is a much better captain

Ashwin Raphael the ships are same size with same health and seeing as shay has the ram skill without having to kill a boss whereas Edward learned it from sinking el impulato shay is a better captain and is a more moral character as he fights for the peoples saftey instead of for personal gain like edward

Anthony Mullins and that makes him better? The jackdaw is actually a bit bigger learn to analyse properly, Edward being the pirate has the adavantsge he has not 1 or 2 but 4 guns attached to him so he can do chain shots killing 4 men in a second and with his agile skills he uses two swords to take down even the heaviest of foes. He is certainly the better captain the jackdaw is certainly the better ship I’ve played both and I’d pick the jackdaw any day over the morrigan the only advatange morrigan has is the chain shots broadside cannons and the ram jackdaw has better mortars more broadside cannons a better hull plus I think they make morrigan look way too strong in rogue

I just fought it yesterday, it's so easy compared to those twin ships (Sorry i use Google translate)

Morrigan is one hell of a gem... Her greatest asset is her manoeuvrability...she is capable in both fight and flight...in defeating this leviathan morrigan speed will keep her away from deadly broadsides... So should ram the stern and near the bow and when attacking morrigan should be close to the man o war because fortress uses mortars only at a distance...and before battling the other two, fortress should be send to the depths....

@@teamxtrm8720 Late reply but in case anyone researching this battle sees this: I didn't personally cheat but it absolutely does work (my cousin used that method); the trick is to exit the Animus after which forces the game to save.

So so so anoying :(
