The game forced you to question the issue of freedom versus peace. I thought for sure that freedom as an ideal would win. I thought for sure that the /washington/Locke sentiments would win out. however one quote got me. "If everything is permitted, nobody is safe". that hit me. and it hit me hard, especially when I saw the folly of the assassins mission. They killed thousands in Haiti and Lisbon because they were free to act without knowing. I entered this game an "assassin" and took the journey with Shay to becoming a Templar. May the father of understanding guide us.

I don't think it's freedom versus peace. The assassins are striving for peace just like the templars. It's freedom versus order... or if the ideologies brought to their worst extremes, suppression (outright slavery) versus chaos (anarchy). Like all things if the two philosophies are taken to extremes they're harmful to society.

Shay in my opinion was smart, and honable character and he had wisdom and what was a calm assassin and calm templar

Achilles was broken up from the loss of his wife and child. Depressed and having nothing but the Brotherhood left, he was overcome with delusions of grandeur (just like Rodrigo and Cesare Borgia), thinking the world needed him and believed his goal justified all his means and he truly became a bigger threat to the Assassin Order than the Templars ever were.

Rogue gets a lot of hate for being a rushed game, I enjoyed the game and I admit the story and game play had it's flaws, but the idea of seeing things from a Templars point of view is what made this game special to me, and seeing a video of it, with one of my favourite metal bands playing the background music, only makes me like the game even more.

I always thought they should have made a game with Haytham as the protagonist, or a DLC at least, because I would love for Ubisoft to make a game based around Haythams rise to power. Haytham would fit the role perfectly to be honest, I would love to see him develop from an irresponsible, brash teenager to a fearsome, but somewhat fair, Templar grandmaster. And seeing the demise of Edward Kenway in the process would be pretty interesting and I'd love to see how Edwards character developed after retiring from piracy. I always felt like there was something missing with the Kenway saga, and I think it's about time they corrected their mistakes.

What you're not realizing is that throughout the whole game, the animus is under the Templar's control, and they can make changes accordingly. It's just a theory, but I think the whole game was tampering with the animus in order to frame the assassins. And, maybe at the end of the game, you die, or escape, somehow.. Getting out of the animus at will. Even if this theory isn't true, the Assassins could be trying to not destroy the world but the Templars, and assassinating them one-by-one is too hard, and so, eden-artifact earthquakes. Of course, I'm probably wrong, but that's just a theory. A GAME THEORY! Thanks for reading!

For me this is the best game in terms of mechanics and story , it deserves a sequel and they should have made 12 sequence for this not 6

when this game first came out I didn't think I would like it but then I bought it not too long ago and I have to say the story is really good it's defiantly something new to see the assassin's seen as the bad guys because of Achilles grandeur it is by far one of the best games that the franchise has produced and cudos to you stargoes for creating a video with a song that matched the game exactly

AC Rogue is definitely an under appreciated AC title. Shay was a great character and I do blame him for betraying the Assassins after what they did.

Ubisoft honestly should have given Shay a "better game." Having a story about an assassin-turned Templar is extremely unique, and these great ideas shouldn't be wasted with lackluster games, since you can't reuse the same story or theme in another game (or at least, you shouldn't). The tale of a Templar in the Assassin's Creed world has been demanded by so many fans, and it's extremely disappointing that Ubisoft spits one out with the protagonist having the exact same animations as Edward Kenway, and the gameplay itself being an exact clone of Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag. This story is great - why would you ruin it by spitting out the exact same gameplay as another game? WHY?

I agree. Not that I didn't like Rogue. In fact, I thought it was perfect. I just wish Ubisoft had waited a year to make a longer PS4 next-gen version for us to enjoy. This was just a way to please people who weren't getting up to date on consoles.

The story had good potential, but the conclusion with all the loose ends was horrible. Not to mention Assassin's Creed has always been plagued with repetitive gameplay. But other than that, they should have focused more and put more money into both games.

I like how they showed the flaws in the assassins brother just as they showed the flaws in the templars orders

I see both Shay, and Conner, facing off in the one story Ubisoft chose not to do. the american civil war. But, Shay might take a different approach. the Templar's aren't the same as they once were. there's a gap, between Unity, and Syndicate. the Cue that took out some of the templar's, changing the organization. what if Shay was on that list. and, what if he joins the, now rebuilt and renewed assassin's. seeking Connor's refuge. ehhhh who know's. but, i was a predecessor of Adewella in a game having to do with the civil war. that is, if Ubisoft renews this idea. (Still a huge risk)

Personally I think that just elevates it. By the end, I didn't feel like other AC games. I felt like it was a massive reality check on this entire conflict. It's two sides who do more damage than good in their ceaseless struggle. Weve seen why the Templars should be stopped time and again, but seeing why the Assassins should be was important in that regard. They both shouldn't win

choosing the life of a templar was one of the hardest things for anyone to do, specially if they have friends since childhood serving a rival cause, losing friends for the good of all the people still is very upsetting, can make a man like me cry about what he did every night, or realize what has happened in shock right before he slumbers...

I like how it seems like Shay's reminiscing about when he was an Assassin

This is the best AC game yet! No multiplayer or coop to mess with. It's the proven engine unlike the pile of garbage that is Unity. Everything was put into the Single Player game. Idk why people & devs think AC is for xtra people. It's a SP experience IMO.
