Aspen Fuel

I have purchased this Aspen fuel myself at the full retail price and therefore feel I can give this an honest fair review in time. And below is some info on this Aspen fuel.
Aspen 4 is alkylate petrol without oil - suitable for lawnmowers, rotary cultivators, snow blowers, boats and other 4-stroke engines. Ordinary petrol contains ethanol which attracts moisture and can cause engine failures. Aspen Alkylate Petrol contains no ethanol, making it ideal for use in marine environments. To use Aspen Alkylate Petrol in your 2-stroke outboard motor, simply mix Aspen 4 with outboard oil. To minimise the environmental impact, choose a biodegradable oil.
Aspen 4 is virtually free from harmful substances such as benzene, aromatic hydrocarbons or olefins; substances that can cause serious health problems. Aspen Alkylate Petrol also keeps the spark plugs and combustion chamber of your machine cleaner. Aspen can be stored for a long time without any deterioration in quality, which makes your engine easy to start - even after long standstill periods. There are numerous environmental benefits, such as reducing the formation of ground-level ozone (smog) by about 40%. This all sounds too good to be true I will be seeing how I get on with this Aspen and will let you know in future updates.

Very good video. Thanks for posting. I have a busy side venture doing garden maintenance & landscaping. I've recently made the decision to run all my power tools on Aspen 2. In my experience, here in the southwest of Ireland, the E10 petrol varies in quality and consistency. Even fresh fuel mixes were giving me trouble.

Thanks yes I was having trouble with my old Hayter mower it just did not like this E10 petrol I have now used this Aspen fuel for two seasons and the mower has not missed a beat! I was about to buy a new mower when someone told me to try this Aspen fuel I'm pleased I did. So glad you are also finding it so much better. Thanks for your super comment. kev.

I have a rope access company and we only use this in our machines be it 2 stroke for a disk cutter or chainsaw and the 4 stroke for generators and other machines that need it! Runs cleaner less problems with machines so less costs after consumption and the our guys say that at the end of the day they don't feel it on there chests from the fumes! I would recommend it costs more per litre but you save in the long run from less problem..

I'm going to do an update on this Aspen Fuel soon as my old mower has never run so well since I have been using this! I love this fule and agree and back up all you say. I have even brought some of the 2 stroke mix Aspen and tried it in my 20+-year-old chainsaw and there again it runs so much better starts easy and the fumes don't seem as you say to affect one like petrol! So I have to agree I'm loving this fuel I know my old mower will start when I need it with Aspen fuel in it. Thanks, lovely to get your thoughts on this being a business and using this Aspen fule. So thanks for the great comment. Kev.

I use Aspen 2 and 4. It runs really well in all my equipment. I have a similar mower to you but the engine I put on it is 20 years old it runs perfect on this fuel. You can buy Aspen 2 and 4, Stihl Motomix, Stihl Moto4plus, and Husqvarna XP power 2T and Husqvarna Power 4T Fuel in the UK. Stihl Motomix and Stihl Moto4plus runs the best in my opinion but It's somethings hard to get hold of. I've recently tried the Husqvarna fuel but it's not as clean burning as the others. All the equipment in my channel is running on ether Aspen or Stihl. Sorry for the channel plug. I hope this helps. Great Video. And nice to see that you're back making videos again.

Many thanks that's all very interesting! And I will check your channel out. This fuel like I said was very new to me, but pump petrol had got so crappy for these small engines I feel many. So thanks for the great info and comment. Kev.

Only 4mins in, I’ve never used Aspen4, but I do use the Aspen2, use it in my hedgecutters, and my top handle chainsaw, sometimes in the rear handle too. Basically if the exhaust or fumes are anywhere near my face. Stuff is great. It’s expensive yes, but worth it for the health side. Before, using normal mix, I’d be on hedges for the day and for around 2-3 days that follow I’d have a groggy throat. Don’t have that with the Aspen2. So whatever in normal mix that causes the throat issue, what other damage is it doing to me? Would love to know more about the health benefits of the aspen, may well look it up.

I use aspen 2 in all my husqvarna hedge cutters and chainsaws you pay a little more but I’ve found services don’t cost as much when they go for servicing so it equals out 👍

im also going to try aspen, but only for the winter storage. have you tried using briggs fuel additive? to stabilise regular (not e10, e5) fuel to let it last much much longer. worth looking into as its like £7 and treats 25 litres of petrol. cheers

No, to be honest, I just happened to go into a local mower store and they were selling this Aspen fuel and as I use such a small amount of fuel they said this would be ideal for my use in my mower. I'm still running the old fuel that was left in the mower tank so I have still not tried this Aspen stuff in yet. I will post how I get on with it thanks that's something else to think about re your comment. Thanks, kev.

I've used Briggs juice for a number of years and it's been good. With this damn drought on now I'm thinking of running some Aspen for a bit because the treated junk fuel in my gear is going nowhere fast. But yes, It's good stuff...if you get through petrol well enough it'll see you through a season and out the other side of a winter with no noticeable banging or farting. Aspens just stupidly dear...so is a gummed weapon.
