I had a weirdly good relationship with going to the eye doc as a child. The only thing i disliked was the eyedrops they gave me sometimes that made my eyes all sensitive. But i looooved the tests and tools and attention. I was always a little sad when it was over too quickly This content just really gives me all of the positives, i love it

Although it seems your channel has grown since I first started watching, you are still seriously underrated IMO. I come back to this video often when I need to relax. Between your voice and the sounds of this machine, it works every time! No other ASMRtist has an eye exam of this quality, that’s for sure!!

As a glasses wearer the slit lamp is my FAVOURITE part of the ASMR tingle Heaven that is my opticians appointments. Thank you for all your videos and all you do to help people relax and unwind. Superb work!

I’ve had three bouts of severe uveitis and many, many excruciating sessions with a slit lamp, so I had to watch this just to find out what other people found ASMR-inducing about it. Turns out that once you remove the “being stabbed in the eye with a dagger made of light while the optometrist snaps at you to hold your watering eye open” angle, it’s pretty nice.

Same, 3x with uveitis but love the eye doctor. Did they discover a cause? My docs were dumbfounded since my eyes were in bad shape but I had no other physical ailments.

@@tiffstronghart1145 I have the gene that predisposes people to it, HLA-B27. It’s linked to rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn’s, and ankylosing spondylitis as well. My doctor made me get genetic testing when I showed up with severe uveitis out of nowhere. If you haven’t gotten genetic testing, it’s worth a try-HLA-B27 accounts for a large percentage of uveitis cases.

@@tiffstronghart1145 What’s funny is that HLA-B27 appears to be a Neanderthal gene that got lodged in our Cro-Magnon DNA. Most of the time it tootles along unobtrusively, but every so often the other genes go, “Heeeeeey. You don’t belong here.” Voila-autoimmune disorders. I don’t know why my body is particularly offended by the Neanderthal genes in my irises, but hey, genes gotta do what genes gotta do.

I used to think that I only like female ASMRtists, but now you are my most favorite ASMRtist ever!! 🥰🥰😇 thank you for all the great videos. Greetings from Germany 🤗

Optometrist used that to measure the pressure in my eye with the super small camera thing that it as on it. Never knew you could even do that until then. Yes it felt weird. Yes he applied local anisthetic that was in the form of eye drops. He also put some ultraviolet coloring on my eyes too which made everything look orange.

even though i have just one eye this is relaxing

@@SRPASMR I was just reading up some research lately regarding oxytocin levels actually. Lately my oxytocin levels have been a bit too high honestly. I can tell as my vigilance to other people’s body language has increased. High oxytocin levels have shown in recent medical research moderate findings of OT-induced improvements in bodily emotion recognition and social cues originating in other individuals you interact with. I have recently moved to Europe to help my family with a few things, and I am not used to being around these many people all the time, receiving this much attention. The video was great tho, very relaxing and informative. I appreciated it and loved it just like the other ones. Thank you.
