Jason - Several months ago, I stumbled upon videos of yours as I was searching for ASMR videos to watch. I love the ASMR part of your videos, but since I have been watching, I have found myself really enjoying the shoe shine process. I’ve developed an understanding of how this is done based off of your videos. I’ve watched other shoe shine videos on KZread and they don’t compare to yours. I like your style, technique and the way you explain things. Based off of what I have seen and learned, I just bought some Saphir and Angelus products that you use and I will start taking really good care of my shoes. I’m also going to shine some family and friends’ shoes as well. Going from ASMR videos to loving the craft of shoe shining, all because of Jason Dornstar!

Beautiful colour shoe, this reminds me of a guy I watched detail a race car on TV who massaged the wax into the paint with his hands to feel the paint absorb the wax just like this man here, pride in your work is a dying art keep your passion showing its almost art 🎨 no silly music just a man and some shoes.

I'm such a sucker for the shine reveal once the nylon is used. It never disappoints!

New subscriber, everything seems to have come together here for me. I love shoes but there are not many videos on cleaning women's shoes, love restorations and I love ASMR. I was looking for videos on how to clean and polish my new vintage 70's Frye boots but I find this instead, I'm not complaining!

Formal shoes and Suede are two of my least favourite of human inventions but I've still been binge watching this channel for the last week anyway

Get to clean shoes with the benefit of doing ASMR videos along the way, I dig that. The bush sounds right next to my ear. The shoes would look good in a white, red, black, or navy blue suite. Thanks Jason for the sounds man.

I just got a pair of Axel Arigato white leather sneakers, I wore them out for the first time yesterday and wanted to clean them when I got home because they got a light layer of dirt on them. I cleaned the first one using my crep protect soft bristle brush with lukewarm water and I noticed there was a lot of peeling happening all over the leather on the shoe. (like a very thin shiny top layer was coming off to reveal the same white leather but without the shine). I cleaned the other shoe extremely carefully with just a damp microfibre towel and the same peeling happened although not to the same extreme. (So I don't think I was doing anything wrong using the brush). They're real Italian leather so I don't understand why this has happened. I have sent emails to both the manufacturer and the retailer but I just wanted to see if this is anything you have ever heard of before? Thanks!
