Omg please do a video about pigments!! It would be so interesting to learn about it all because I literally don’t really know anything about pigments even though I’m an art student 😭. I didn’t even know there were toxic pigments that were still being used nowadays and neither did I know how to even begin on disposing of them, please teach usssss

Almost all of my collegues at the academy of fine arts were "watercolour purists", asserting that one should use the white of the paper. So, after messing many assignments, I started using white ACRYLIC, to give the accents. Solved a lot of problems and my works satisfied me a lot more.

I love using white gouache to add highlights to my paintings! It’s a different look to leaving the white of the paper, and there definitely isn’t a “right” way in my opinion ☺️ but if you want the paper white look, masking fluid helps a lot with preserving highlights!
