The product of the best-selling line was the Totally Hair Barbie, with hairstyles long to the feet of the doll, distributed in 1992. Barbie was also the first toy to have a market strategy based massively on television advertising, strategy later taken over by others; commercials for many years were characterized by the melody of Georgy Girl, hit band The Seekers. It is estimated that over a billion Barbie dolls have been sold in at least 150 countries, and Mattel has stated that three Barbies are sold per second.
