No wonder I was nodding off when my nail technician was doing my nails. I never thought of it as ASMR. He was soft spoken and there is ambient music always playing in the background, there were no customers but the few who came were quiet too. He was dying laughing at me for passing out. LOL

Being a former nail tech, I love how she explained everything to her client. Her recommendations were very helpful. I LOVED how gentle she was!!! A little too blingy for my own taste, but beautiful.

Can I ask why the acrylic and then gel on top? I mean I love it, but I’ve never seen that before. Is it so they don’t have to buff the natural nail as much?

@@bethanygrace5198 I know that in Japan especially, they're big on soft gel/ soak off gels. Maybe they do it so they can change the gel decoration on top, over time, and leave the acrylic base to just fill as needed for the base? ( and probably leaving the nail underneath less stressed and damaged? )

@@Oniwabanshugirl I agree. I’ve had acrylic with gel overlay before in the US. The acrylic is acting like the natural “nail” for strength and support, while gel is used to color and decorate. Some gels are too soft to be used as a base. But it’s totally up to the specialist.

I wish everyone was this gentle at nail salons! I love getting manicures, but most of the time, they’re so rough

Same, the nails techs in my local salon are so rough and if removing cuticles isn’t supposed to hurt, holy hell these ladies are DRILLING my fingers indeed

The nail artist looks so caring and gentle that makes the whole process super relaxing, also plus points for how clean and polish everything looks, really made me happy thank you for this :)

I love to hear people speaking Japanese. It is so soothing to me. Their mannerisms and gentle movement is extra relaxing and puts me into a trance every time. ❤️👌🏻

I didn’t realize how much I miss getting my nails done until I watched this video. They came out so cute and perfect! I have curly hair, I can’t even imagine having giant stones on my nails 😅 I’d rip my hair right out!

I've never had my nails done before but this makes me want to go so badly, this looks amazing.

Nail technician myself, if you get your nails done with gel polish or Shellac, There will be no buffing, so no damage to the nails. Just a tip 😊

Thank you so much for these videos. I started to learn Japanese on September, so these videos help me learn new vocabulary and to get used to everyday Japanese. Plus I get a lot of tingles 🥰 it couldn’t be more perfect 😍

This is so interesting and such a nice close up view. I like that there is no music or noise in this salon. Every salon I've been to in California is noisy and not relaxing.

What i learned in cosmetology school is that you aren't supposed to cut the cuticles. Only the epiniychium. I hope i spelled that right 😅 also, when it comes to pedicures no one should use a cheese grater, because one it doesnt get disinfected well and if done to much, you can damage and hurt the skin under the dry , callous skin. I had a pedicure done one time and that happened to one time by a professional. I only learned the basics though as i specialize in hair.

All these service workers know how to quickly answer and sound real but good. I wish I was smooth at answering sudden questions.

It's been quite a while since I've had my nails done but it's always fun to do I'll probably going to be doing it here in the next couple of months for my friend's wedding. But I'll probably just keep it simple and just do white tips.

She's an excellent nail tech. This is very similar to what I always get done but I don't get any stones or other embellishments.

For those who like this kind of nails must be very Nice as the Lady seemed very gentle.

personally i don't believe the grinding and cutting of cuticles is healthy as its better to push them back but i can see how it helps make a firm base for the nail to stick onto.

Actually as a nail tech it’s healthier to cut the tridgium and cuticle. Nails don’t adhere to dead skin. They adhere to the nail bed. So the sticky dead skins is useless.

3 hours for a full set. Wow. That's a long appointment.

I really enjoy this series ☺️ I don't know but for an idea maybe... Everytime you go to a nail salon you should try a different lengths and style of nail... Long ass nails, chrome, big stones etc. Type of title: " long ass nails ASMR"

This was very relaxing to watch, however, I had to chuckle at the 1: 02 mark when the technician bought out the stones for the client to choose from. She said, "can I suggest one that suits you the most"? The client responds they're all so beautiful! I'm thinking what she (technician) really means is, because I'm not sitting here until next Thursday while you decide which one you like! That would be me, can't decide which one I want. lol

I wish on the left hand the pinky would be the glitter, really pretty 💯💯💯

The ones in Japan, especially the ones in the city are very gentle, u wouldn't recommend nail salons in America.

I have not seen those nail wrapping papers used in years.. they used to use those for silk wraps... are nail extensions not acrylic tips?

Depends on what you want. There are poly gel (hybrid gel), hard gel, soft gel tips as well as acrylic. These are acrylic, but they are not using actual tips. That’s why she uses paper forms. I have become a pretty big poly gel fan, myself.

I hate getting my nails done and don't accept getting such but she was actually really careful and didn't hurt you 😮👏 ok, the cuticules part is scary to me.

Next time go for aqua auroras. Beauuutiful nails!
