I’m the owner of a small business, I’m an earring maker with sensitive ears. Replace your hooks with nickel-free materials. Super easy and if nickel free still won’t do it for anyone else reading- there are plastic fish hooks and posts for studs. Cheers.

The "finger pointers" are usually called nail protectors or nail protector jewelry. I believe they were used in China in the old days to protect long nails from being damaged. Long nails at the time meant that the person was wealthy and was higher up in the class system since it meant that the person did not do any manual work. However, since it is quite long, it would be very difficult and impractical to put the nail protector on all 10 fingers so they usually only covered their ring finger and pinky finger. You can use it in this way(by only putting them on your ring finger and pinky finger) or any other way you want! Because why not? This is for asmr purposes, so there is no need to follow any rules 😊😊. I really like the idea of using it for tracing and pointing at things so I will look forward to your future videos!!

My ears are sensitive too, and in order to avoid irritation I put Neosporin on the hooks/studs of any earring I'm about to wear that's not gold or silver. It's been working for 23 years!

As long as everything I wear is nickel free I’m generally good with earrings. Fun earrings always tend to be heavier than general wear so after an evening or something, my ears are happy to switch back to my every day earrings haha.

You can replace the hooks if they irritate your ears or if needs must you can paint clear nail varnish onto the hook part that goes through your ear. It provides a thin barrier (just make sure to clean the piercing site just incase)

my ears get irritated too and i find that if you hold an ice cube to the hole in your ears for like 30 seconds before you put the “fun” earrings in it helps the irritation and it doesn’t bother me

I mean, sure, there are a lot of people on youtube who leave negative comments just for the sake of being negative. However, I would say this comment isn’t necessarily unproductive like that, Jil7518 seems to be voicing their disappointment/disagreement on this very specific aspect (the promotion of unethical brands) of the content at hand (content that they otherwise may very much like, idk). Similarly, I clicked on this video just to like Jil’s comment, basically as a way of giving feedback of what I (as a subscriber) personally dislike to see in Jen’s videos. She is obviously free to ignore it (if she even sees it).

I’m just trying to make a point that having tattoos isn’t always a wise thing to do as we all know they look terrible on older skin. Just my opinion. I never said anybody should take advice from Ozzy. It’s just that he has realised in his old age that tattoos only mean something to the person having them. Everyone else thinks they are naff.
