Im sensitive to gasoline so bad. I get sick and need to move closer to the country. I like candles that smell like baked goods or coffee. Get those beeswax ones. Paraffin is the old kind and bad. Your cute dont worry about anything.

With regard to gasoline (or any other smells): Many people like the smell of gasoline, myself included. That doesn’t always mean we’d want to bring it home and experience it for long periods of time. I probably wouldn’t buy a gasoline scented candle for multiple reasons. As stated, though it is a favorite scent, it’s not the type I’d want dominating my house. It’s a very strong scent. Second, though I enjoy it, I realize many others do not. I certainly wouldn’t want my house smelling like gasoline because nobody would visit me and I’m pretty sure my girlfriend would move out, lol. Third, it’s not a scent I enjoy for long periods of time. I love getting strong whiffs of gasoline, such as when I fill up a car. But if it lingers too long, the enjoyment isn’t the same. I don’t dislike it, but I just sort of get used to it. If you’ve ever spent time somewhere like a garage where someone has spilled a small amount of gasoline, you’d know what I mean. There are other smells some people really enjoy that others do not. I absolutely love the smell of fresh cigarette smoke and even pipe smoke. It’s by far a top 5 scent for me, and whenever I see someone smoking I always go try and catch a whiff, lol. I would never want to burn a candle with that scent or even buy cigarettes and let them burn on their own, though. Fresh cigarette smoke is among my favorite smells, but stale cigarette smoke is top 3 worst. The difference is night and day for me. Have you ever smelled an ashtray? Not something I would ever want to smell if I had the choice. Finally, scents are our strongest connection to memory. That means for many people, they might like or even love a scent far more for the memory it brings than the smell itself. I spent weeks of all my childhood summers in the South Jersey area, specifically Ocean City and the surrounding areas. I love the smell of the fresh salt marshes when first arriving in the area, and then again right when I hit Ocean City. Would I say it’s even a top ten scent overall for me? I don’t know. But I do know that those fleeting moments when I first smell it now, I’m cast back into those warm childhood memories immediately and without fail. It’s likely that for many people who claim they love the smell of gasoline, they have similar memory-linking experiences. Anyway, if you read this and make it this far, I hope this all gives you some new perspective.
