Growing up I always loved going to the eye doctor. My eye doctor was a very kind and soft spoken man. When he'd take me to the back to check my eyes he always started with his regular voice, yet toned down a little. As he continued to put the different lenses on the device to choose what looks better, A or B? He would slowly bring his voice down even softer as he went on with the exam. I'm 37 now and this all started when I was probably 6 or 7 years old. I remember each time he lowered his voice I'd get a feeling of just complete relaxation and tranquility. I never knew what it was back then, it only happened when I went to see him. Sometimes I'd lie to my mom and say I think my eye sight even needed to be checked twice a year because I thought it was getting worse, even though the reality of it was this was the only place or person that had that effect on me. It wasn't until later on in life when ASMR became a thing that I realized that my eye doctor was making me feel that same sensation all the way into my early 20's. Now here I am, with my favorite ASMRtist, doing the same thing. It's like I've come full circle. Man, what a life 🫶🏻
