@@DJKuroh, I spent half of my high school in the US and the other half in Canada (both West Coast), and when it came to US geography, Canadians seemed to have fared better, no offense. I had to explain to an American that Washington State is different (and in fact very far) from Washington DC. This happened in Maryland which made it more sad. In the US, we did a Kahoot in Geography class and a question came up where we had to choose the answer with real states. Over half the class chose an answer with New England (which is a region) and I guess they didn't realise that New Mexico is a state. New Mexico is a pretty empty, unpopular state but can you imagine a Chinese person forgetting that Tibet and Xinjiang (very isolated and far west) are provinces of China? India has many states and territories, but they will go bonkers if you show a map of their country without a sliver of land, or even the unnoticeable islands in the ocean. Speaking of which, I'm sure the average Chinese and Indian can name 50 cities (plus many more towns and villages). Why can't the average American despite having one of the highest per capita spending on education?
@Pond721
Жыл бұрын
@Justin Keyboardist 50 isn't that many. I'm from the U.K. and can name and point to all European countries and all 50 states in a minute or less. Most people in most countries probably couldn't, but they certainly should be able to because it took me about 2 hours to learn that. There's really no excuse for not knowing at least half.

I just found her yt channel and my jaw is still on the floor omfg so creative I stan I love that she’s unapologetically herself and posts what she wants and her content is good I get sooo relaxed and sleepy 💙💤
As someone who once studied all of the US state geography for fun, this video was partially excruciating for me. Like “YES I KNOW THAT STATE!!” 😭
The fact that i actually said sadness when she said its named after a feeling😭😭
Not gonna lie, this is actually educational
For some reason we had to memorize all states in middle school even though we live in Europe😭 i remember being so annoyed because it's so many and i didn't see the point 😭

When I was in 10th grade about 2015-16 ( in the States) I took a holocaust history class where we learned every country in Europe pre/during WW2 when Yugoslavia and the USSR still existed. I forgot most of the smaller countries, but I'm still pretty confident finding and naming the larger/more populated countries.

Does anyone else remember the vine of the lady who says "So this one is KAN-SAS but this one is not AR-KAN-SAS. AMERICA EXPLAIN! WHAT DO YOU MEAN AR-KAN-SAW???" I hope she's doing well

As an Oregonian I feel the need to let everyone know we pronounce it "Or-eh-gun"

I used to think that, but we do have FIFTY states. Can the average person in say... South America or the UK name fifty cities? Could someone living in Africa name 50 of the 54 countries there?

@Justin Keyboardist 50 isn't that many. I'm from the U.K. and can name and point to all European countries and all 50 states in a minute or less. Most people in most countries probably couldn't, but they certainly should be able to because it took me about 2 hours to learn that. There's really no excuse for not knowing at least half.

@@DJKurohcities and states are different. That’s not the point tho. 50 is not… A lot. It takes a couple hours for a kid to learn all of em and never forget them, realistically.
yooo finally a lesson on the united states for my european ass

I love the 'you're doing so good!' Feels just right in this context lmao

YEAH ME TOO! I’ve met people online and I’ll mention I’m from Washington and then later they’ll recount that I’m from Oregon, or Idaho, or just straight up Seattle because we can’t even have our state name! WE’RE THE REAL WASHINGTON. I mean at least say the state capitol and not Seattle! I’m just really mad. We’ve got cool stuff here, but we’re just in a corner.

You improved my knowledge on this subject by 900%
I am obsessed with learning every state flag so this is helpful to remember where certain states are. Also the Utah part is so true 😂 there’s a temple being built I can see from my house.
I wish my teacher was like this
That's ridiculously crazy and I love. Watching for the second time❤

This should be a legit stand-up comedy sequence 😂😂😂😂
I am so invested in this one idk why
We need a two hours video of just…. Can you name me the state? …. No… Its Just To powerfull

This video is my favorite. Repeated words and phrases became a trigger I enjoy ever since I started watching Angelica. I love it

Angelica’s pronunciation of Oregon has got me wheezing
Aw I was hoping she'd actually do a part 2 right away :(
As an American, I was actually really impressed with myself that I knew 49. I got stuck on one and then had to sing the song in alphabetical order and went "Kansas!! Ah shit. That's the one."
Funny. Condescending too. But...amusing. And most importantly, tingly~
“I am confusion. Why is this Kansas but this is Arkansas” 😂
The fact that she actually got Louisianas name origin somewhat correct! It was called Louisiane when it was French so it’s accurate:)
