@mehakai7117 Mostly because of product that is used in curly to thicker course hair helps, for any reason we do come in contact with the bug it’ll slip off instead of attaching itself so easily. I’m also gonna assume that like in my household, it was always relayed to us to not us others hats, combs etc. With my thick hair sharing hair tools wasn’t very possible anyways. Though I was reminded for my safety and possibly others not to share personal hygiene tools/products. Hope this helps. I personally have never gotten lice.

@@mehakai7117 that’s not the reason. She literally explained why in the video. Nothing to do with product and everything to do with the lice not being able to get to the scalp because of how curly the hair is. They essentially starve. I don’t have straight up Afro hair but I do have very curly Afro asiatic hair and it was the same for me.

I didn't even know lice checks existed until I started watching ASMR. My schools never had a nurse or lice checks. If someone got lice the school would send an email for the parents to check their child's head but my mom would just ask me a few questions and I was good. This is very relaxing I feel like I missed out on the lice checks lol

Too unfortunate! We always had mothers (we called them Lice mothers back then in elementary) and my mom was part of it for a bit and whenever we had lice checks I felt such a relief to be away from class for a bit and be with my mother safely as she checked my scalp. Those were the only good memories I had and it was a good moment to relax and de-stress a bit.

We only got a mandatory check if someone had lice. There were twins in separate classes that were always ground zero.

Lice check was my favorite time of the year. We had 3 to five ladies come and check our heads. Every time one of them would come over and asked if I had my head checked I would say no, so there was a chance I would get 5 out of five to check my head. It was funny too because one lady said "I already checked her." and I was like "SHHHH!" lol.

I was wanting to ask where you’re from, because i wanted to know if the lice check is an american thing? They don’t do that in schools in the uk, they send flyers home telling parents to check their kids for lice whenever there’s an outbreak and that’s about it.

This is one of my favorite ASMR roleplays. I used to love this as a kid oddly. I had a sensitive scalp as a kid so my head was always itchy so it was the combination of not having to do class and it felt good on my scalp. I also adored the diversity of hair colors and textures. It felt much more realistic as a roleplay with that. That poor girl with curly hair though because it so puffy. My hair wasn't that curly as a kid but my hair always poofed up like that a bit and the combs always got stuck in my curls, which was honestly kind of funny because no one in my small town knew what to do with my hair texture at the time. Then more people came from bigger cities and the town became more diverse and I never had any problems going to hair salons anymore.

I heavily relate! Somehow i managed to get lice twice though 🥲 they used sticks at the time and the sticks go stuck in my hair and they broke!

curly hair people do get lice, it’s just a matter of chance. it’s rare but not impossible. i have 3c hair and I’ve had lice for years on end when i was younger. back to back like crazy.

I never thought checking for lice would be relaxing. I raised 5 daughters, hair down to their butt. I learned very early to put product in their hair to make it appear "dirty" to lice. Mousse, leave in conditioner, anything. Whenever there was an outbreak at school, I didn't stress. I knew my daughters escaped it but I'd check at the nape of the neck to be sure. I'm a licensed cosmetologist. One of the first things we were taught.

I like how unlike other asmr u don’t need ur volume literally all the way up and instead of almost incoherent you can understand her🥲 need more asmr like this especially during the day idk if it’s jus me but the day is wayyyy more loud then night time n I hate ads that pop up sometimes in the middle of it n then a blast of random music ruins the mood 😂

before you fall asleep did you: - wash off your makeup and do your skincare? - brush your teeth and hair? - fill up a water bottle in case you get thirsty at night? - feed and let out any pets you have? - take any medications you need for the night? - say goodnight to your loved ones? sweet dreams xo ❤

RIGHTT i was watching another asmr video and had to reduce the volume (/▽＼) lol it's so good

they did this at my school out of the blue at times, but only in kindergarten-2nd for some reason, and i would always close my eyes & the nurse would be like "i know this may feel nice but you can't fall asleep." 💀

9:04 I get it's for ASMR, but I can just FEEL that rat tail grating across my scalp. I've misfired often while parting. On another note, I love the voice acting in this! Role playing is more enjoyable to me than loud eating and slamming the microphone itself with hands and objects. Just seems more realistic, takes away the artificial... emptiness of it all. I only follow role play asmrtists these days. Leveled up!

when i stay at my grandmothers, she has a nice big TV on her wall with youtube and i turn you on at night to help me sleep, so much better on a big screen!

This is just to real in the uk- but your videos and this one are so much nicer than the school nurses irl, like “oh you broke a bone?” Or “you’ve cut your head open?” “Just put a wet paper towel on it❤” idk what teachers went through irl but I’m not sure they realise that a blue paper towel will fix a broken bone or a massive cut- Edit: don’t we all just love auto correct😀

This is very relaxing! I had to deal with lice one time because I was sharing my hat with a friend. We ended up having to go home and having lice shampoo on my head. It was something I won’t forget. This all happened in Elementary school. Taught me not to share hats with other people.

My school would check for lice like 2-3 times a month. I have thick Curly hair, so it would take a them a bit to check my hair. I loved the brushing, and them running their hands through my hair. Never had lice though. Side note, You have really beautiful colored eyes! I also love your asmr videos. Very relaxing makes me feel like im the one getting checked lol ♥

I LOVE lice checks so much, my hair was super soft when i was younger so I'd have several volunteers standing around me just playing with my hair all at the same time because they were all so amazed at an 8 year old with basically silk for hair (I've bleached it to death by now tho so there isnt much left of it LMAO)
