No music, no talking, just making a Kirby rug from start to finish!
My 4th rug tufting video - loved the colours on this rug but I do think my line-work has some room for improvement, especially when focusing on the more details areas like the eyes. Nothing that the trimmer can't fix but being more precise with the tufting gun can definitely save you a lot of time in the carving stage!

I still can't get over how much work goes into these! By the time you are buzzing the final outlines to clean up the edges my mind is just broken from how much effort has been put in. And plus Kirby? Hit me right in my soft spot! Another great video, another incredible rug. Cheers 🍻

what effort? the machine is doing the work.

@@jemandjemand2362 each step is more effort than you realize! Hunting down the yarn, having to rewind the yarn by hand, building the wood frame, cutting out the canvas and stretching it on the frame, the tufting gun is probably exhausting to hold for hours and I imagine there are a lot of hiccups along the way that don't make it into the video. I guess my point is, when something looks easy that's usually because the creator is putting a lot of effort into it! You can tell on the clean and professional results that this channel is exhausting themself over the details and not to mention filming angles, hours of video editing etc!

@@brandonrobinson1603 the frame is just made once. and the canvas is streched by the frame not by anything else. so there is no real work on that. stop being a loser

@@jemandjemand2362 I'm not sure why you're wasting your time watching rug making videos then, all creative endeavors are exhausting both physically and mentally. I know the internet is an easy place to get irritated but instead of getting worked up you should give one of these projects a try- you would enjoy it and would have a new found sense of appreciation for these kinds of things!
I've only seen videos of rugs being cleaned, I've never seen how they were made but now that I know it explains SO much, it answered so many things for me, and the end product turned out great! (And adorable)

I have never seen this being done before! it's like a tattoo gun for rugs!
This is the best real DIY that anyone can learn from. Bravo 👏 Good job
These videos are very relaxing to watch. I hope you make more. The carpets come out beautifully. You make tufting look so easy, but I'm sure it's challenging. ☺️ I also love your editing. It's relaxing to watch but not boring. You know just when to speed up the video and just when to slow it back down.

I'm in the process of making a Hello Kitty Rug video but I'm procrastinating and kinda hit a roadblock with my editing but I now feel inspired to finish my video because of how mesmerizing and satisfying yours was. Thanks
Was just looking at your About page and saw you only started KZread 2 months ago and already have 2.24K subscribers. That's amazing (as is your work). Definitely have a new sub in me. Can't wait to see what else you make. My son would absolutely love this Kirby rug btw.

Thank you for the kind words, I'm glad you enjoy the videos! :)
This is bewildering to me! I remember learning to make these in the very early 2000’s but with a single manual tool. It’s amazing how easy this looks now 😮
This looks so cool 😊
This is the most satisfaying video that I have seen in this week, the character is very hermous!!
That was some Epic Yarn!
That’s soooo cool… KZread is great to learn the most random things I never even thought about 👍🏼
First off subscribed holy hell that was cool! Second loved the fact that your editing and filming skills were both simplistic and complex. No usage of loud music, no unnecessary narration. You were there to do one thing and you showed us Third, low key you should have a video with the music from Toy Story 2 when the toy cleaner is fixing woody 😂
These really help my anxiety and help my insomnia. Thank you, and please keep making these!
Wow, you make it look so easy. Makes me wanna try it myself.

Rug trade made by...... Matt. I love it lol 😂 also amazing rug Matt.
this was so satisfying to watch! clean work 🏆 may i ask why do you have to put the yarn in a ball first using the manual machine rather than using it straight from how it is when u purchase yarn? and how long does it take that floor adhesive to dry? thanks!
Someone needs to open shop for us! I'm sure audience would love some work from you!
I love this video!!😁
amazing they do it so fast
Another question came to mind after a re-watch! How big is the frame you’re working with, and how big can you comfortably make the rugs with it? They seem pretty decently sized by the time you’re done and show them on the floor
@rugtrade
Жыл бұрын
my frame is probably around 3ft x 4ft... you can make rugs as big as you want in it really you just need to make sure that you leave a small gap around the edge of the rug so you can fold the sides over :) I watch videos of people making rugs on frames 5 times the size of mine it just depends on the space you have and your supplier of monks cloth :)
You have my subscribe and like. That's a sweet rug.
Nice mat, Matt.
How do you get into this kind of thing? I want to make my own rugs so badly, but I don't know how to get access to a machine like this!
I’ve never seen a rug get made, but now that I have…..I want one
Very professional looking. Do you sell these rugs afterwards or do you only make these for the art?
Mooi gedaan 😮😮❤
This guy deserves more subscribers for going out of his way to buy all the yarn, get all the supplies to start making the rug, and for the end result being so perfect. you can literally tell just by his work that he has put a lot of effort into all of the rugs he makes and finally paid off when he has a perfect rug. this guy deserves a reward fr.
OMDZZZ mate, YOU ARE SOO CREATIVE I LOVEEE IT!!!😆😆😍. This rug looks amazing what are the tools called?
what is that process that you do with the yarns after you open them? Also, very beautiful!!
İs your machine cut pile or loop pile ?
What kind of tufting gun do you have?
Me after it's only half done: "wow, that looks amazing!" Matt: "but wait, there's more!" Me: 🤯
Just Subscribed I Like Your Work🔥🔥🔥🔥
I keep thinking of it as "Kirby Karpet"!
I'd love to know how you got started in rug tufting and any tips you have to give to someone like me who's wanting to start doing this kind of rug tufting.
BTW you're videos are amazing
The beginning looks like that mini game in Mario Party where you have to outline a picture on the ground
カービィかわいい!!❤
This was so cool and relaxing. I've never seen rugs made before. Do u think u could make windwaker Princess Zelda? Also if you were ever selling rugs, I'd wanna buy a animal crossing one from ya. My sister loves animal crossing and I bought her some plushies for her side of the room. We just rearranged the bedroom and Now have a open space in the middle of the room a rug would be nice there for decoration. One of her fave characters is Celeste
Something about Kirby just seems like the perfect model for a tufted rug. Awesome job! Just outta curiosity, is that just regular ol hot glue that use use to secure the edges of the backing fabric? Or is it something more special? Thanks!
@rugtrade
Жыл бұрын
Hey ben! thanks for the kind words :) yes it's just normal hot glue, however I've heard some people do the cutting out process when the carpet glue is still tacky so they just fold the edges over and it already sticks to itself! Haven't tried this myself but will do in the future for sure :)
Вааай! Как КРОСИВО!😍✨👍
Nossa isso que é obra de arte adorei o pokemon😊
Wow I love it
What clippers/shaver do you use?
I see you my left handed brother!
One and all !Kirby! U should make Kirby but it ate one of the characters 🙂 that would be cool 🙃 either than that it was awesome!
Wow
Cool ❤
How much time did you spend on this? My guy I didn't even watch the full thing yet and I'm already hyped just by looking at the comments, I'll edit the comment after I'm done watching. (Edit: just finished watching, I must say it was ✨ amazing.

Thank you ! A usual rug this size you could do in approx 3 hours (not including glue drying time) but it takes me a couple of days on and off if I'm also filming as I have to set up the camera etc :)
Can we appreciate this guy maki.g random dru- uuhhh i mean rugs for yt
i know this sounds silly, im 36 this year and i think i know what's my hobby now. =D

OMG!!❤
So cool!! Do you have an Etsy/way to commission a rug? I'd love to get a cartoon salmon nigiri rug for my husband's birthday 😍 and it'd make for a really special present to have a time lapse too! ❤
Where do you get the projector from?
Well dang I kinda want a Kirby rug now
I will like to learn how to do this. Where do u get the rug material and the yarn spindle, plus the gun that you use.
Matt making mats. Lol that’s funny
Sorry if you’ve already answered but how long does a rug like this take you to make?

on average it normally takes me 2-6 hours depending on if there are any distractions. So, I'm assuming he finished within a 3-4 hour baseline cause he also needed to position the camera and stuff :)
How did you learn to do this and what all you need to make these rugs??
Where can I buy this machine
I love your video
