This house looks like something I would have built on sims lmaoo. But anyways, it’s kind of a got a sinister vibe to it. I could not imagine living in such a big house and hearing all kinds of weird noises all over. I would never want to be alone in it😭

The weird shaped room on the basemebt was an art gallery. Rich people buy art as investments and the back creepy room was storage for art.

The person who built a house like this, definitely didn't raise the funds in a 💯 legit manner.

The ultimate _look at me_ house. My guess for the in-counter device is a sous vide. You would absolutely need a full house staff, probably rank structured to support running this place. Each area, pool, bowling, cinema, security, electrical, entertainment and coms, cleaning etc would all need dedicated staff. Then if you have stables, horse staff. Grounds staff. Probably on-site plumbers and electricians. Why anyone would want to live there when it's basically just a hotel with only 6 rooms. The moral of this house is, you can't make up for a lack of style, regardless of how much money you have. I know the owner went to prison for tax evasion, but they really should have gone away for this *brobdingnagian monstrosity.*

Loved this so much, your sheer bewilderment is perfect. As a big Simmer I'm sure you did the thing early on where you built a massive house and quickly realised that it's way too big to actually furnish in a usable manner without way too much excess space. This gives that exact vibe.

Haha totally get the 90's mall vibes. When my family visited America, we always went to Outlet Malls for crazy savings. Some of them were creepily empty and very weird. Things stuck in time!

Views can be EVERYTHING and can save a bad house I feel. But this one still had so many baffling choices that I'd be so overwhelmed by everything happening inside, I'd forget to look outside lmao. The pool area is unironically incredible though.

looking at this house from the outside makes me think of when im getting back home afrer a long day and my legs are tired, and all i want is to be home already, but there's just a few seconds of stairs left to get inside. except it would be a full ten minutes of walking across the grass and huge stairs into the house, and then maybe 15 more minutes to get to bed 💀

I've toured it, so much fun! It's also sort of mind bogglingly stupid if you think about it (why does anyone need a house that big, even if you're the v a n d e r b i l t s) but the architecture and design is so impressive it sort of gets a pass lmao

Its a Wolf brand Steamer. Its sold by Sub Zero (high end appliances). Idk what would be the reason to have multiple in kitchens around the house, possibly it was requested by several chefs or caterers so they just put em in. I heard the son was also disabled in some way so elevator and drinking fountains makes sense now esp if wheelchair bound

I was originally thinking that the giant, empty basement room was a private art gallery. It looks like it could be used to put a bunch of those room dividers to hold paintings or to house sculptures, etc. The vault room attached feels like it would fit with that idea. I certainly would not have guessed that it was a shooting range and that the vault was a gun vault. When I get $17M+ to buy that house, I'm definitely using it as an art gallery. Also, obviously I don't know for sure, but that large room that had tile in the middle looks to me like it could be a large dining area. I imagine a giant dining table in the middle of that tile area, which would be easier to clean than the carpet part, and the two side areas could be almost like buffet locations. Just my personal speculation.

That room that she thought could be a dancing space was an art gallery, hard to find info about the place with the current state of Google, but it used to have an utterly stupid amount of taxidermy and wildlife art there.

This is so weird. A 12 year old Sims player's fever dream after they discover the money cheats. The weird utilities like the big elevators or the water dispensers have me thinking those might've been installed for cleaning/housekeeping staff. I imagine cleaners need the same amount of equipment (if not more) as you'd see in a hotel, and housekeepers there always roll around those giant carts stocked with equipment
