ASMR | Relaxing Math | Algebra- Evaluate Expression, Given Variables (Whisper, SoftSpoken, Teaching)

Ойын-сауық

Hi! In today's ASMR Math video, we're going to continue practicing Algebra basics...in particular, we'll work on evaluating expressions given the values of some variables. You are welcome to use this video to relax, study, review, or just drift off to sleep...anything that would bless you. I'll be whispering and soft speaking throughout, so I hope you enjoy that. Keep calm, math on!
Love,
Decaf

♡ What am I watching? ASMR is often described as a tingly, static-like feeling, often associated with relaxation and an overall feeling of well-being as a result of certain "triggers". Not everyone experiences ASMR, but I think it is a wonderful tool to experience more peace and comfort (not to replace any other practices you may already have :)). Here, we take it to the next level and combine it with math :) Some of my videos have more math than intentional ASMR, while others are more focused on the ASMR with minimal math, but you will see some form of each in every video. It's a fun balance! I share random lessons as I feel inspired, often requested by viewer friends

I love both the advanced and the easy stuff! The advanced stuff is great when I need to learn math I’ve been overwhelmed about starting on (and sometimes, I dunno if it makes sense, but it’s relaxing to listen to the complex ones after I‘be gotten them? Like, if I could figure out that math, and the explanation makes sense now, then I can conquer whatever I’m up against now), while the basics are really comforting /because/ they’re easy to follow along with. Both are great!! If you’re worried about doing too much of one or the other, you could always designate one type to a specific day of the week or week of the month, and leave all the rest for whatever you feel like doing. What matters is that you’re enjoying it! Thanks for making this video!

I was originally confused by the title but it's because this side of the Earth, we call this substitution. None the less, amazing video as always decaf! ❤

Ohh yes that makes sense-a special type of substitution if you will. Are you one of the weirdos who says mathS? :p Thank you for your kindness, no matter the math level. It’s a blessing to have you around! 💗

Hi Decaf, I know this is a weird forum to ask this question. But do you have any suggestions for someone trying to formally learn mathematics the right way? I'm taking my first graduate level stats course, and I'm finding myself having to really pay attention to fully learn the material. In previous classes like Diff Eq, Calc, linear algebra, for undergrad I would practically sleep through courses but do great on the exams. But i feel as if this has come at the cost of not actually absorbing the material. So i want to change that, and really understand all the axioms, and derivations for the subject. However I've been on medical leave the past year doing chemo, and have now returned, but my absence only compounded the difficulty. Any encouraging words, study tips, recommendations for how to read textbooks better, would all be so helpful.

Hi, tl! Do you have access to Discord (discord.gg/VnSC4Zq is our chat space)? It may be an easier place to chat and I feel your post deserves something more thoughtful and encouraging than something I could respond to here. In the meantime, I'm sending up a prayer for you for guidance, direction, and encouragement! :)
