The Marnie price is for a different reason than most other ones. Yes her character is popular but her card effects was also really good. Cards are valuable either for being good in the game, or just liked aesthetically. Marnie was a case when both are true, raising the price. The market for selling good cards is very different, the price drops very quickly since either new cards come out, or all the market is saturated and everyone has a playset. Especially nowadays when we have people buying cards just to sell them, these cards can inflate to massive prices, since these people don't understand why the price is rising and asume the price is gonna stay that way.
