I love love love keyboard sounds on a nice, clunky keyboard (not the newer laptop-style ones.) I don't even get ASMR but since starting to watch Maria's videos, I've developed this appreciation for sound that I never had before. It's very interesting to realize that there are certain everyday noises that I've always kind of liked, but never bothered to pay attention to before. I feel like it's a way for me to become more connected to the world around me, and to appreciate it more.

I love this stuff. I no longer experience the ASMR sensation, but it's so nice to hear a woman's gentle, sweet voice. I noticed the phenomenon when I was about 10 in 1973. A girl in class was flipping through some index cards in a box and it felt amazing. I thought I could go into a trance or something. She couldn't find the card we we're looking for, but I kept asking her to look through them over and over, as if it had to be there! I would try to describe the "tingles" to others through the years but no one ever said "hey.....me too"! Finally, I saw an AMSR video a few years ago. Thanks for doing this for us.

I did the same kinds of things while in school as I experienced ASMR as a young child but never knew what it was until about 4 months ago and I'm now 38 lol. How did nobody come up with this years ago is my question? But at any rate I'm glad they did!

I first experienced this phenomenon in 1987 in first grade when the teacher was writing on the chalkboard. Like you, I went into a trancelike state andy scalp tingled. Soon after, I got it from people typing in keyboarding class. The term 'ASMR' was first and finally coined in 2010. I saw my first video in 2015 by Tony Bamboni.

Hi, I did a research project for my college statistics class on ASMR. It was pretty fun to explain the concept to those who had never heard of it before, but unfortunately, no one really took it seriously, so I didn’t exactly get the results I had hoped for. Good luck on your research!

I don't usually get triggered by visual stimulus at all, but seeing those "soft, plush slippers" movements give me strong tingles!

The fabric sounds in this video are amazing, so relaxing. I love the sleep lab videos. Thank you for this gem.

I just thought of a brilliant idea: Setting up an ASMR Clinic. You could draw up a varied menu, offering everything from a Cranial Nerve Exam to a “Pampering.” I’m sure many would pay to visit these places, what with life and stress. Could easily become a staple in one’s routine. “What are you up to today?” ... “oh, I’m hitting gym then going for my ASMR.” Right, see you on Dragon’s Den!

And as a matter of fact, you had to fight the "nay sayers" in the beginning and ppl who just didn't understand asmr, and those who laughed at us. I know because I've been here the whole time. You didn't have the benefit of having other youtubers with far more subscribers give you shout outs and send their following your direction. You achieved your goals when ASMR was quite "unpopular" actually. You were here before asmr morphed into some weird sexual thing or some overblown breathy whisper extravaganza. You've survived the birth of asmr, the fall of asmr, the departure from true asmr and the "asmr fad" of pop culture. And here you still are, as genuine as ever. You're hard work and determination has paid off in a major way. I'll always love and respect you for that. YOU are the best. And that's a fact. And anyone who really follows asmr knows it. I want you to get the love and respect you deserve. WITHOUT YOU I truly doubt this ASMR community would be as strong as it has become, and it may not exist at all. I don't know if I get these "tingles" that everybody talks about, but there is something extremely soothing and calming about ASMR videos. If I get any kind of tingle, it's a very subtle sensation. But not all of them do the trick for me. Maria's pretty reliable though. Her voice is very calming.

Sometimes i get tingles it feels a sort of tickly on my head or my cheeks i mostly have tingles with hair roleplays or at a hair dresser when someone is playing with my hair. Most of the time it helps me relax and makes me fall asleep

My first experience was when I was 5 and my mom was brushing my hair and going through it checking for lice because I had gotten lice when I was 4-5 and brushing through it was so relaxing and made me feel homey and loved and happy

Nothing compares to you when I'm looking for asmr. I've tried other artists, and it'll be hit and miss. Every video you make is quality asmr. Never have to worry about a random loud noise, etc. So thank you!

I have always loved Maria's videos, but never have I appreciated them more than I do right now when there's a wasp in my room. Thank you.

I used to get that feel good sensation aka asmr from watching PBS as a kid whether it was Bob Ross painting, or when they used to have the show that showed how things were made like peanut butter, crayons, etc....
