Watching this at midnight to resimulate when the nurses would come take vitals at ungodly hours in which screwed up my sleep schedule, but was oddly calming cause it was just you, the nurse, and the beeping of the iv stand. Very nice, much better than the actual thing because im not getting physically prodded

@@jakeshaw1661 yup, I’ve sat next to people in the hospital god knows how many times and I have all of the beeping noises memorised for some reason, tbh I would be sat there on my phone and stuck in a chair for 3 hours straight cuz I’m not trusted to be home alone (but Yh much safer for a 11 year old girl to be wandering around a giant building full of strangers who could easily take said girl away at any moment is much safer than said girl to be left alone at home, somewhere that they are familiar with, and with a tv for an hour) and after being there daily just sat there when my phone died, staring at the ceiling whilst hearing panicked voices and the beeping of several machines, I have somehow managed to memorise the vital beeps of each individual I’ve had to sit with in hospital whilst chewing on pizza.

Yeah… 4 weeks in and the beeping noise that the IV machines make is stuck in my head forever Edit: mainly the beep when the machine was done, I wasn’t allowed to turn it off and had to wait for a nurse to come turn it off some reason

Last time I was in a hospital, I was there for a post-assault exam, and it was very traumatizing for me. This video is honestly like exposure therapy. Thank you Amy for making a relaxing and comforting video in an environment that is often unpleasant and anxiety inducing.

I love this, Amy! Night nurse videos are some of my favourites - I’ve spent a lot of time in hospital over the past 13-14 years, after being diagnosed with a very rare liver condition age 13. I went onto develop kidney disease, chronic leukaemia, and had several strokes at once. All before age 18! Night nurses have always relaxed me when I’ve been an inpatient - the soft talking and gentle care and compassion always really comforted me. They were there when I needed a hug or shoulder to cry on. Some even cried with me! I’m still in contact with some of them now, as I’ve pretty much grown up around them, and they practically feel like family. 💕 I’ll always be grateful for the team of angels that looked after me so kindly and went above and beyond to make me as comfortable as possible.

I'm happy that now you are better! And sorry for the things you had to went through (idk if I wrote that well). I really understand you, I didn't have to face something like that but just one time was enough for me, and the nurses in my case, wasn't the best. I felt like a lab rat.

Bro I've supposedly seen this comment like a week ago from what I remember lmao. I even confused the beginning with "My would care nurse" as I did in my memory when I first read it lol. Fricking deja vu.

Last time I was in the hospital the night nurses were literally the nicest people I've talked to.

I really enjoyed this ASMR. It vaguely reminded me of the night nurses who took care of me after my spinal fusion surgery. Most nurses are absolute angels and I will forever be grateful to them for their compassion and care throughout my stay at the hospital. They will never be paid enough for what they do.

This might sound a little crazy but these videos help me heal from the medical trauma I’ve experienced. I’ve been through a lot but the kind soft spoken nurses like this always felt like such a safe reprieve from the scary stuff going on. My first memories of experiencing asmr were with nurses when I was a kid. So, watching these really helps me remember those comforting moments instead of the bad ones. Thanks for making these.

I had surgery the other day/night and i just got home today so seeing this video is helping me feel like I’m being taken care of in the hospital so it dose not feel so weird being home.

I never stayed overnight at the hospital after my surgery but because I was a very quiet child the nurses made sure to instantly make me as comfortable as possible, so despite my parents having scared me about the whole experience and being quite unhelpful on the actual day of surgery between the doctors and nurses they made me forget everything and just relax..this brought back memories of the really kind nurses that I had (I consider myself lucky especially since I know from previous hospital visits that the nurses weren't always the nicest but on the day it counted I got the best care)

Me: watches one asmr vid as a joke. Me a couple months later: is addicted to watching Amy Kay’s asmr videos and literally watches one everyday

I’ve been home from hospital for a few months now, but I have daily nurses come and change my syringe. Before I got as well as I feel rn, I’d always be in bed when they came, and while they clearly wouldn’t be as gentle and as soothing as you are in this, it felt very much same. It’s weird to look back at such a horrid time with any kind of positivity but this definitely repaints a lot of how I felt

This is much better than the last 2 times I was in a hospital! Admittedly, I wasn't feeling great either time, having spent 6 hours and 8 hours in resus respectively, so was maybe not that relaxed, but none of the nurses or doctors were this nice!

As somone with intense hospitsl based trauma, this sort of stuff really helps me readjust my brains immediate "Oh shit a nurse!!!! run!!!!" reaction, these videos are so helpful and calming. Thank you for making these amazing videos
