When he says he apologizes in advance for having difficulty opening the shell, In my opinion I say it’s perfectly fine. People across the world say they find the easiest, quickest ways to open them without destroying the meat, but the truth is as long as the meat isn’t ripped to shreds when you pull it out it’s fine.

I’m from Maryland, in the US, and breaking down a bushel of blue crab is like a rite of passage. You steam them in Old Bay. You spread them out for days on newspaper. You drink Natty Boh. Zach is a legend. This video makes me soooo happy. A Maryland blue crab is much smaller, so you need to buy them by the bushel, but unearthing all the meat in any crab takes some skill
