I can't tell you how much I love the sound of someone rummaging through their make up bag....it must be a sound from childhood that we associate with, I don't know, it's just super ear candy!

I always find that asmr videos without all the expensive mics are the most relaxing. 💓

I agree. Sometimes the expensive high quality mics magnify the sounds too much and it is too crisp and sharp.

I am so glad I found this video! I never knew that "liking" sounds was a thing until very recently. When I was in grade school and got in trouble, we would have to stop what we were doing and put our head down for a certain amount of time. I always kept my pencil box on the opposite side of whoever I was sitting next to so that when they would go through my pencils and markers I could hear that sound. As I got older I loved listening to all the sounds my dad truck made and paid attention to his keys and the noise they made while he was driving. I still do that today with my car and my husbands truck and I have finally learned that I'm not alone! I love these types of videos because not only are they soothing and relaxing for me, but it's let me see I'm not alone!

I also remember the first experiences were at school when we were painting and I felt tickles and was weirdly relaxed when my classmates were painting and going through the brushes! I never even thought it was weird, I just thought people like different things :D Afterwards the same thing happened with many things. For example nowadays I like it when the cleaning people come to clean my office 🤣 I'm just listening.

A pressed powder shattered in mine 2 days ago and so now every item is covered in powder. Its such a mess that I think I’m gonna throw it out as washing it will be too difficult 😂😂😭🤦‍♀️

That's how I discovered ASMR. I typed in "relaxing voice" not thinking anything would come up and I found Lita the massage artist. This was 2009 before ASMR was an actual term so the videos were limited to just hers. But I've never forgotten where I came from 🖤

when i learned about the concept of asmr, the memory of this sound is how i knew i experience it. as a little child i used to feel a fuzzy tickly sensation around my neck when my mom rummaged through her makeup. i always liked being near my mom while she put on makeup at her vanity table because of the pleasant sounds.

I have billed my husbands customers, ordered school supplies and cut out fabric for projects with my headphones on de-stressing to this!! I can't believe how soothing this is. I have always been mesmerized by certain sounds even as a little girl. I know now that it was the calming effect of the sounds that drew me in and relaxed me!

Normally I hate nail tapping but this was so gentle and lovely, a wonderful change from the usual tapping and rummaging videos. Thank you so much, you've made my day :)

mm. mm yes! I thought I was crazy growing up, my neighbor (student sitting next to me)would rummage through her school box endlessly because she was so messy and unorganized she could never find the crayon 🖍 she needed. That’s been 44 years ago so you know it was good if I remember it.

Jess Dougherty..there is a monthly subscription box called boxycharm it is 21 dollars a month, and each month they ship you full size makeup products. Like tarte eyeshadow pallette, this month we got sent the winky lux pallette, and next month a full tarte mascara, and a couple months back amazing 3 set of foundation brushes, a becca highlighter...it's a good way to build up your makeup collection for 21 dollars a month. And they are full size products. I know they have a wait list, but really it's worth it...you should check it out.

I love the wipes package sounds :) and your makeup collection is so nice! Keep up!

I am so shocked there is videos like this. I always loved the sound of makeup being tossed around, or someone digging through their purse. I love this, thank you.

I always thought I was weird liking things like this, turns out I'm in excellent company.🤗

I'm wandering why some videos have commercial breaks and some don't, be cause there is nothing more frustrating and down right terrifying then when u r all relaxed and drifting asleep as you're right in the middle of a relaxing ASMR video and then all of a sudden..BAM! an annoying, loud, commercial break comes on and u jump straight up in shear panic ! Alot of us have PTSD so this should not be allowed during an ASMR

I’ve never had anything make me be in such a deep calmness so quickly... You should do something different like markers in a plastic tub. That is another amazing sound. Or just do more like this but with whispering, I bet you have a beautiful voice as well.
