Pretty sure my optometrist back home in the US knows about ASMR. She is always so soft spoken and explains things in depth and moves the light slowly. If she doesn’t know about ASMR she is accidentally really damn good at it, but I think she does because she’s so good at it. I love the eye doctor.

I’ve had glasses since I was a toddler and I always enjoyed eye exams, and this makes it even better

Little did I know there was a name for this- ASMR. It's been in my life since I was like 4- all at the optician

This is easily one of the best of the numerous ASMR eye exams on KZread. I love the realism, the fact that it's a blurry to clear role play (it is often the case that in "lens 1 or 2" videos, the visucal acuity is perfectly fine which is ok but also kinda takes something away from the realism). One of the few ASMR videos I often return to.

Sir I hate to be the one to tell you this but I think your camera needs glasses.

This is the most realistic eye test asmr i’ve seen in regards of what it looks like for a blurry visioned person actually taking one of these eye exams in real life. Well done sir.

This could be your most comfy video. I love the pink/purple color on the wall, and the use of a lens on the side of the video. It feels more like I’m at the eye doctor. Also your voice and how you say certain lines is why you’re a special ASMR artist. All around just a great video and possibly your best.

My husband hates when I’m in bed listening to ASMR but when I come here he just thinks I’m watching an educational video so it’s a win win 😂🤫

It's honestly impressive how you manage to track the clear/blurry vision with the lens, actually looks a lot more genuine. How the heck do you do that?

im not him, but usually you would place the lenses frame very close to the lens and as central as possible and enabling autofocus. then, removing and adding the lenses will lead the autofocus to refocus, thus making it blurrier or clearer. there are prolly other techniques but it’s the easy one i know :)

also, camera lenses are very similar to lenses used in optometry - so just using the lenses in the right distance may cause this effect :)

Cheers. There’s no autofocus involved, that much I can say.

I haven't had time to watch for a while, so coming back to this was an absolute treat! You are the master of real-feeling ASMR optometry and take me back to my first ever ASMR experiences as a kid in the early 90s at the squinty Eye climic. I had such kind, professional eye doctors who kept me so relaxed whilst they fitted my prescription for my giant Dierdre Barlow glasses. What a lovely thing, to be able to help people do much through your actual career and your ASMR side hustle.

Amazing, I’m getting my eyes tested this week, sadly it’s mostly done with machines these days with the optometrist just checking briefly at the end of the appointment. 😞
