I also forgot to add the "eu" sound, which is kind of in between "ui" and "au". French speaking people will have no difficulties with pronouncing this one. I'll teach it to you guys in a next video if you'd like! :)

"Ik ben..." is basically "ich bin" like German, and "Myn naam is..." is basically "my name is" like English. I love how much crossover there is from Dutch, it's a nice easy language to learn!

I can't even explain to you how helpful this was! I just started learning Dutch a month ago and no one explained to me the difference between formal and informal ways to say hello/thank you/please ect. Also in my language, which is Croatian, we use the rolling R, and even though it's very difficult for me to pronounce R the way you pronounce it, I still do it because to me it just sounds so cool. Thanks!

I know I'm late but I'm simply flabbergasted (I absolutely love this word) how similar German and Dutch are in some parts ! For many people the "ch" sound may be difficult but not for German speaking ppl cause we also have it (e.g. Macht, Nacht, Schacht) eventho it's a bit "stronger" in Dutch, some words are also very similar if not even identical. (Goed = Gut, slecht = schlecht, dankje= danke, ik heet= ich heiße, hoe heet jy/ wie heißt du) And your are right about the formal you in German! The informal you is "Du" and the formal one is "Sie" (be careful to not mix is up with sie (she) tho) Gute Nacht!
