Thanks bro! I just saw this comment! I used a chainsaw file chucked into the drill press to help smoothen over the thumb jimping. For the finger choil I use a small wheel attachment on my 2x72 grinder 🤙

Good question! Air hardened steels need the foil pouch to minimize oxidation of the steel.
