I'm glad it did that in a good way! My best friends taught me about hot comb but they are still a bit traumatized because their moms and grandma's burnt their scalps a lot in the process. It's very cool to hear that it sent you to a place of nostalgia!

I love the comments here, they are the definition of good comments. I love how people are just either talking about their childhood, talking about the realism of the mannequin, and just complimenting the video in general!

Oohhhh the tingles with the product sizzling & your nails finger combing! 🙌🏽 Not sure if the goal was to get it bone straight, BUT if it was, I would definitely try the old school trick of flipping the hot comb up while you’re sliding it through the hair, & also using the chase method with an old towel, apply pressure to the towel as you’re gliding down.

The rings make it so much more satisfying 👀

,I think the difference is hot combs are made for it to be easier while straightening black hair flat irons also work but hot combs are more convinient.

Im not black and I have rather straight hair so can someone with this hair type tell me if this sectioning thing she does in the video hurt?

It depends. If someone has a sensitive scalp it can hurt a little or hurt a lot but if not it doesn't hurt unless the person sectioning the hair pulls it really hard. It can also depend if the hair is tangled or not, if it's tangled and not moisturized enough it hurts like hell even if you don't have a sensitive scalp 💀

The way she’s doing it would be very painful lol, you’re not supposed to do it on dry hair. But, because it’s a mannequin it can’t feel anything lol. Usually it helps to spray water and add some sort of moisturizer to soften the hair.

If you have a mind that races it gives you something to pull your focus to a soothing sound so you can fall asleep. Each one of us have a favorite sound I believe. I like this video but also appreciate tracing with a finger nail or tapping at a good pace. Shoelaces being pulled out of a shoe is great too. Just find what you like and let your phone quietly sit next to you so you can drift off to sleep. I don't usually watch the video I just listen to the sounds. It's a great tool . Especially when you have insomnia.

Because it’s an insignificant thing to be worried about. The comb is made of metal. Synthetic hair and hair products are bound to sometimes melt and stick to the comb like ANYTHING else that is metal or steel. We aren’t concerned because we understand it.

Maybe not to you but it's relaxing to many others. Personally I'd much rather watch hair ASMR done on a mannequin than a real person. There aren't enough sounds when done on an actual person.
