No it's not that complicated. He's improvising and making a show. Which is enough and fine, just not that deep. Source: Bengali myself, and a massage enthusiast. Been to way too many barbers and random masseurs --( one of whom injured my neck while trying to crack 😂).

I caught the maha-rajah trying not to laugh a couple times when he was employing his sillier antics. They know it's all mumbo jumbo and can't believe people pay them for it.
