Actually the reason over binding can affect your top surgery results is because it messes up the elasticity of your skin over time and the results of top surgery depend in a big way (mainly peri results) on your skin elasticity. That means that you could technically have a small enough chest to get peri but due to your skin elasticity not being good enough, be forced to have double incision.

I had a hook binder but my mom walked in when I was putting it on one morning. It disappeared shortly after. I know she threw it away on a brake day. My school is part of a program that gives kids binders for free so a teacher I trusted got one for me. It was a half tank, no hooks. I’ve been wanting to get a full tank but my dad is the only one kinda cool with it and he’s been trying to convince me it’s the depression, anxiety, and schizophrenia.

Another tip is to use sports bras it isn’t as good as a binder but before I got one it did definitely help

may be a year late but this video made me think, why isn’t there a trans barber shop that is disguised as a normal one? So i’d like we come in with BOTTTCHED hair cuts we can just say ‘dysphoria’ and so they can maybe like get our perfect trans hair cut? Idk i botched my hair earlier and i’m too scared to go to a barber now

I’m so lucky to have my mom who will literally fight tooth and nail to protect not just me anymore but other trans kids.
