@@fighterflight Yes! there's some kind of certification that people can get to do it and then they can run their own color matching businesses. It might be an international certification--I can't remember--but I know there are people in the U.S. who do it. Not many, but there are a few.

Wow it’s crazy how you can see immediate differences in certain undertones and how they suit her

I really liked how she explained herself. She keept it light and fun and giving prompts to soy whenever she said something right...It felt like being in kindergarten again, learning about new stuff, so cute!

She is rude. Idk why she felt the need to tell her Soy’s blemishes look like a beard. What a cruel oblivious lady. Gross person imo. Soy deserves better. Being treated kindly is better than looking good. That lady looks good but she is mean even if she has the “right” motivation. Yuck.

She complimented Soy a few times, she is not rude. Soy is definitely pretty, but since this is about personal color, it's important to be objective. It's a process about knowing how to look better in a personal way. She was very kind and considerate. Please read the room. Though your concern for Soy is admirable.

I found it interesting that they discussed mixing paint for skin colors and starting with orange. In my school art classes in America, you would start with brown as the base for a skin color.

Brown is actually just a very dark orange! Brown is not on the standard color wheel, but if you darken orange you get brown!

In Ireland we would mix the primary colours together to reach a certain skin tone, so yellow, red and blue and then add white and continue mixing the colours until the right skin tone is achieved

That part was really interesting to me because in primary school in the UK they never taught us how to mix skin tones (art lessons were barely lessons lol) so the students just made their own guesses. Most of my classmates would colour their pictures with solid pink for light skin and solid brown for dark skin. However I "invented" using light orange for pale and everyone thought that I had those skin coloured pencils. I told my younger sister the best way to colour pale skin was with orange pencils applied with light pressure not pink. Lol.

I love this, Soy! I do not understand Korean but I imagine what you are talking about. Last year I took the same test with a consultant here ir Uruguay and, seriously it has been life changing. Shopping is easier, you go straight to the place where the pieces that suit you are, you buy things that really suit you and you end up saving a lot of time and money. You also learn how to put colors together and use different color combinations in your outfits. The whole experience opened my mind! Hope you find it useful too! Love from Uruguay! 🇺🇾💙

Consultants ask clients to wear white top as a neutral

I think it's really cool that while color is a fairly abstract sort of concept, this method for discovering the best color feels very much like a logic puzzle. Eliminating colors that do not look good, until we are left with what does.

Also colour theory is so controversial due to a good portion of it being subjective and depends on how we individually see colours. I’d add theres even a psychological aspect to it ie. when you think something looks good and she tells you that’s awful on you! Think about instances in your life this happens and you change your whole outlook on something.

I found this lesson to be so interesting! Especially because she was so passionate about the subject. She is a wonderful teacher!

This is one of the best asmr videos I have seen despite having to pay attention to read the subtitles. She seems so passionate about her career and her knowledge is amazing. I’m honestly in awe and shock that there is that much theory behind this! I am very interested in colour theory with painting etc, but I suppose never really gave personal colour theory much credit. So cool!

I've seen many colour analysis on yt but this is the best in my opinion! The analyst describes the theory clearly and Soy is pleasantly excited for the process .... love this video!

its perfect! those cool light summer colours really made Soy's checks blush with the prettiest light pink and skin have a lovely glow.

I'm very fascinated by these color theory asmr vid where they analyze what kind of colors suit them 😄 Gentlewhispering did one too but used pictures of people for references, super relaxing as well. I'd love to see more videos like this in the asmr community

@@kittyykatie I don’t wear much makeup, at most some tinted chapstick and mascara unless I’m going out for something. But you can for sure tell I’m not wearing makeup 😂

This was so relaxing but also so interesting! I know nothing about color theory but was so enraptured by her explanation i could listen to her go on about this for hours!

This is so cool! I never realized just how much colour can effect your skin tone! But the changes in her face tone were so obvious. I’m so amazed! I wanna find my personal colour too

i want to get a color analysis by this woman!! i've learnt more from just this video alone than watching multiple personal color video by other youtubers. she's clearly an expert, while those people just regurgitate what they find on the internet. edit: i just remembered she doesn't speak fluent english and i don't speak any korean. so that would be really difficult

Hmmm... this is a really interesting experiment. I think it must be really fun to find out which colors actually suit us best. Some of the tones don't really show up well on camera, but in the end it was really clear. Soy looks really good in white and pastel colors. I was amazed with the makeup shades she found as well. They matched so perfectly it looked like she didn't put anything on at all. I've never experienced that in my life! lol
