At any office or appointment, there can be those background sounds. if anything, for me, those sounds help me feel more immersed in the world of the video. And especially the drone of a plane in the distance, or even the hum of a lawnmower outside, can be quite relaxing. That is all

Oh wow I thought I was the only one who thought like that! It's normal to expect of an ASMR video that it be as silent and relaxing as possible but the noises aren't even startling and hey, if it fits the roleplay, it's even better cuz ambience!

I love how respectful you are to the patient! I wish my doctors were this polite and empowering in real life. They could learn a thing or two!

19:44 -- of course ive seen the 'which lens is better' test before, but this is the first clip ive seen where 'the lens' actually makes it clearer. I understand the work (editing) that goes into making that happen, I just wanted to say awesome work!

If only all my Optometrist appointments were this relaxing and reassuring. This is wonderful thank you, Jim. 😌

I think I watch this video nearly every night! I love it! The lighting, the voice, the somewhat controlling tone, the humour, the close up and inaudible whispering, so tingly!!, and follow the light/finger stuff, makes it relaxing and stimulating all at once. Thank you, Jim!

These videos made me excited to go to the optometrist! However, when I got there, I found out that something in the fluid they used to dilate my eyes gave me an allergic reaction, and my eyes swelled to the point that I was practically blind for 2 days! Super relaxing!

I get kinda nervous at eye exams, but having it in this format is actually really pleasant! The continuous consideration you show throughout, gives a sense of calming reassurance. Unbeliev-eye-bly (😅) lovely work, Jim! ✨

Another fabulous cinematic masterpiece :) would love a hospital roleplay - surgery pre-op or post-op recovery. Your voice is so soothing and your demeanor so calm you'd ease the nerves of your patient :)

I love these medical ones. Yours are some of the best on YT. Also, I like all of your glasses but these ones are nice! I'm sick today and it's nice to have a light, personal attention type video.

I have glaucoma and the secondary test they do is a lot of fun. They numb your eye and have a machine that touches it to check the pressure. They never get mine numb enough.

As a person who has to go to eye doctors on a regular basis, I’m going to say this is the most realistic one on YT

Love your creative/unique role plays but it's always great to have some classic themes👍always enjoy your medical videos!

The glove change is probably the best part for me. I watch a lot of these videos and they'll touch their face and such and it'll bug me since they don't change them. Very detailed, I love it!

If only you were my optometrist. Mine is loud and brash and you can hear her voice all over the building, and her laugh . This was a very nice, calming video, love the low lighting, the gentle voice and wonderful accent.

I'm watching this today and your quiet inquisitiveness reminded me of a particularly pleasant visit to a real optometrist a few months ago. He was very clearly neurodivergent in some way - I've NEVER seen such laser focus and dedication in a medical praticioner when it comes to finding out what exactly is wrong with my eyes. Turns out that I have a rare contidion, comorbid with some other stuff, and he was chuffed to find out. It was like helping a detective at work. This is lovely, BTW. Positively delighful. I think your doctor! personae are my favourite. I'm not that keen on being shot in the face. :D Take care!

I appreciate Dr. Stuff, I am terrified of the doctor and the dentist. This helps calm me down, and think maybe it will be ok. Although the real dr. makes you wait 45 min, looks at you like your a nut, rolls their eyes and after 10 min walks out.

I’m so overdue for an eye test in real life.. if only my optometrist was this lovely. On another, somewhat relatable note - I know I’ve only been on Jim’s channel for around 6 months now (caught up on most though) but I realised watching this one that I had never, until very recently, noticed the colour of Jim’s eyes. And now I have to go back and re-watch a heap of vids to see if it’s noticeable in my fave characters ones or not, and if it’s not noticeable, what colour eyes would I imagine they would have. Is that weird? It’s weird isn’t it? 🤔🤨

This video got me to book an appointment at my optometrist after not having seen her for 4 years. Now, having gone through with my examination I am very disappointed, it wasn't nearly as relaxing and my eyes are only a bit worse . smh you set our expectations too high Jim
