ASMR Drawing with a Fountain Pen
Relax as I use a fountain pen to draw a catfish and along the way I'll tell you a few things about catfish. You'll amaze your friends at your next dinner party with your knowledge of catfish and catfish fishing (be sure to serve catfish so that you will have a natural segue into the topic).
I'm not an artist, so please be kind in your comments lol:)
Update:
Though I recognize that I’m not an artist, There have been a few comments about me tracing and I don't know if it is being implied that I didn't draw the fish or not, but let me explain the process as I remember it, for it has been a while since I made the video. Only fountain pens were to be featured in the video, so as I recall, prior to dragging the camera out, I first sketched the rough shape of the fish using pencil, then used a black marker over the pencil so that it would show through the clean sheet of paper on which I would do the final drawing for the video. In the video I used the fountain pen to trace the rough shape of the fish and then made up the details as the camera continued to roll. Hope this clears up any confusion or misconceptions.
The pens used in this video were a Noodler's Ahab flex-nib fountain pen in Green Bay Green color, and a Noodler's Nib Creaper flex-nib fountain pen in Cardinal Darkness color.
The ink used was Noodler's Black.

So so many great comments to this catfish video! I appreciate every one of them. Thank you all.
According to Noodler's... “Noodler’s Ink” has the lowest cost per volume in stores that carry it and it’s 100% made in the USA from cap to glass to ink. The ink with the catfish on the label symbolizes a southern sport that attempts to equalize the struggle between man and animal in the quest for a sense of fair play - and thus a fair price.

I had never heard the term until a couple of years ago. I'm typical, I think, in the fact that I went all my life experiencing ASMR without really knowing that many people didn't. No one ever talked about until someone defined it I guess.

This video just changed my life and took me to a place of relaxation I have not yet had the pleasure of experiencing up until now. Highly recommend videos like this to sufferers of MI's especially PTSD. This made my mind quiet and calmed my mental landscape tenfold. Thank you from the bottom of my heart x
Man, this brings back memories of my father. We didn't really have catfish in our region but he was always big into fishing, and quite the avid fisherman at that. I have very fond memories of going to a lake and getting out on the water, setting our rods and just relaxing, patiently waiting for a bite. Be out there until sunset often, and depending on the lake and restrictions we sometimes took some fish back to grill, and we'd eat heartily. My father passed years ago so this is a nice revival.

My friend, drawing with ink can be very unforgiving, so best to sketch out a rough plan with a pencil ahead of time. And though it is obvious I am not an artist, I assure you the scene is mine and mine alone. Thanks for watching:)
FINALLY found the perfect male voice!! I'm kind of picky about ASMR. There are voices that are good but they either talk too fast or not enough. I can't stand some sounds such as lip smacking, eating, repeating words, water pouring, and a kind crackling sound when women talk. Ugh. But you talk normally and aren't whispering. Just talking softly. Love it!
A classic among ASMR videos.
I would watch an hour of you playing with that Blackberry. The sound is so relaxing.
I do indeed;) Thanks for commenting.
"I'm not putting that much detail into it..." FAM, I WOULD NEVER BE ABLE TO PUT THAT MUCH DETAIL INTO A CATFISH IF I *TRIED*!
Artistic presentation of art in progress. I don't usually look for asmr things, it's nice but I was looking for drawing with a fountain pen. I'm learning to draw and I'd like to learn inking and I concidered nib pens as a interesting way of doing so. And caligraphy can improve my handwritting. I simply love learning new things. Thank you for the video.
Ohhhh yes. Haven’t seen this in years and it just popped up on my recommended videos. It’s *quietly* lit!

We all are artists. We each create our lives. What a creation!
The term that others are grasping for is properly referred to as 'crosshatching'. It is a technique which was created by Leonardo Da Vinci, and his skillful application is easily noted in many of his Contè sketches.
Noodling is a type of fishing where you catch catfish by putting stink bait on your hand and putting it in there under water burrow and it bites your hand but it doesn't hurt cuz they don't have teeth
You would have to be careful. Do a internet search on "fountain pens lefties". Lots of good info out there. Thanks for watching:)
